  • There isn't a invisible monster chasing me, there's a real monster chasing me!!!! This is cool, so many police and angry people have told me off in the past, so making people more aware that it isn't vandalism and is using our bodies in the full potential is the way forward :)

  • There are events hosted by redbull, but not quite olympics yet. Hope it gets there one day

  • THIS is cute. you and the background music and your acceptance to the art/sport/movement. i like it. i appreciate it.

  • @levlinks24 thanks.

  • you only saying its not safe coz your fat!

  • @HorshamParkour youre missing the point of the video.

  • hello Graham my name is John and i have been practicing parkour for about 4 years now. im glad that you have put up this video because im constantly getting glares from almost everyone. i know that if i messed up i would almost die however thats why we have to practice so much. if i get a chance then i will take it and every time a take a chance, then i will get glares from everyone. thank you for your support and keep on uploading.

  • @spinmaster1337 thanks mate.

  • I agree with your advice but not about Parkour becoming an Olympic event. The founders of Parkour don't want that as far as I know.

  • @freeflow18 there is no founder of parkour. They just gave it a name. Parkour has been in this world ever since the start.

  • The Background Music made it feel soo deep =]

  • parkour definately should be an olympic event!!! ninja warrior is growing in america and is the same basic concept. i love parkour, not many good spots around here, but i'm also into just flips on flat ground because you can practice that anywhere. back to the olympic event thing though, look, they've got fucking curling! how the hell is that let in, but parkour isn't yet?!?! can anyone explain to me how curling is considered dificult??? great vids, thanks

  • thanks ur pro i love parkour

  • Thank you! omg haha and yes its more complex then gymnastics lol

  • i love to see non-traceurs like this. thanks so much

  • You truly hit the nail on the head here :) One of the best explanations ive seen anyone give about the art.

  • Babies don't begin by walking down a concrete stair set with no hand rail. But, eventually all kids/people can walk down a concrete stair set without being "reckless." Parkour works the same way. Most people don't seem to understand that.

  • Thanks for the video. It's nice to see some understanding. It's incredibly frustrating that people think parkour is reckless. People see the videos we post and only see an end result. They, unfortunately, don't always see a progression. Or, out on the street, they only see the result of progression.

  • Parkour is against compatition that why it will never be an olimpic sport.

  • hey nice vid

  • this is great

  • lol i'm sorry i just saw "about parkour" and this.... ahh i can't go on too deep, this guys too safe

  • i know every word to this. such a inspiration

  • RIGHT ON MAN!

  • Thanks so much for making this video!

  • you're awesome! i've trained parkour for 2 years and dealt with countless people who just think we are reckless kids jumping around and a liability issue. I played soccer for 12 years and got injured countless times. Since i started parkour i have just gotten minor injuries like cuts and bruises.

Glad to know there are people out there that look up about something they've never heard of.

    Much love man

  • @speedygtl30 thanks, you are most welcome.

  • I Love Parkour ... thumbs up Graham

  • It's as dangerous as you want to make it, if i don't want to do a big front flip to cat leap i don't have to and if we want to risk our safety let us.

  • Someone with sence :) , most friends of mine dislike the idea of making it to be in olympics as it become competitive im a tracuer myself, maby check my videos :) great video

  • i am honord to know we traceus got support by you and plenty others you dont see mutch compasion in the streets u see people going what are they doing they might get hurt and etc nobody sees the art im glad to see that youtube gives the support .>davi23<

    excuse my english

  • no , no , no , no ,nooo.... Olympic sport ??!! Are u kidding me ? How should that look like ?!?! Thats just stupidd...

Parkour must be used on Streets/Roofs.... Anyway my point is NO OLYMPIC . I Think that ,many traceurs will accept with me . Peac ! Great video , evrything was perfect ... u were talking like u had been parkouring in the paast .

  • My name is Adrian and I have been practicing parkour for over 3 years. And, that was the most beautiful speech I have ever herd about parkour. Thank you for supporting us and understanding what we go through to make sure this is a safe sport. I wish more people understood the preperation we go through before we run. Thank you

  • There is no way to understand Parkour without practicing by yourself. People should stop talking about it unless they have experienced it. You can read everything about it, talk with people around the World and still you don't know, what Parkour realy is. If it'll be an olympic event the hole thought would be destroyed. There is something called Parcouring wich is invented for competition. Search for it, if u want.

  • While this was an AMAZING video...i only disagree with two...well 3 things that you said... 1st: you are never TOO old to do parkour :)

    2nd: parkour isn't a sport, its a lifestyle

3rd: kindof along the same lines as 2 parkour isn't really a sport (more of a lifestyle) so i don't really think that it should become an olympic event...

But anyway, this was a GREAT video and i thank you for clearing up the whole danger thing... :)

  • I wished pepole with understand us like you!

  • I wouldn't do parkour, they would find me in the middle of the street, they would say what happen, they would say, he ran. Not a big fan of running and fliping doing all the gymastic. Nope I belive in Pa-walk or Pa-getinyourcar. But really that is amazing if you don't really mind getting hurt.

  • awsome dude thank you for stateing that all of it makes perfect sense and still people consider parkour more dangerous than football THANK YOU

  • @cealer4pie you are welcome.

  • you are a legend

  • @nefe thank you.

  • Subs to you man!! This is great video :)

  • i love you thoughts on parkour and how parkour should be in the olympics, parkour brings everyone who trains it together, also tracuers and freerunners are always nice and welcoming to you, even if you just want to watch, we are always willing to help you begin.

  • marvelous that music creates all the fancy-comprehensive emviorment

  • i like you. you speak the truth, and you speak it well.

  • I love parkour. Do it all the time and love it. Who cares if I get it hurt.

  • i hope one day u can do it man awesome video

    5*s i subed

  • I Sprained my ankle Boo Hoo

    I won't Stop till I'm Dead!

  • I really wish more people viewed parkour as you do. It's so hard to stay in one spot for more than a few minutes without being kicked out or yelled at.

  • nice to see an open minded guy on youtube and the way you defined parkour was brill, but when you say that it should be an olympic sport it kinda makes me think otherwise. I mean: here's a scenario you do a jump and you're very happy about it, then one of your freinds said "pffft I can do better", on the non competative side your freind might say "well done getting better"... yeah sorry if that sounded narrow minded I think competition makes you improve, but not in parkour (my opinion)

  • lol, i love the cheezy inspirational music in the back!

    thanks for the vid man!

  • Parkour, you understand, what david belle said "parkour is also a sport were it teaches people to be aware of the danger, and it teaches us to be safe.

Thanks for haring your view of parkour, they are correct apart from one thing - comment is below.

  • you sir, are brilliant!!! although one thing you said is not true.... of course you can do parkour!!! like you said, anyone can do it! it doesnt matter how fit you are, use parkour to get fit! it has been said taht parkour is the number two way to get and stay fit, and capoeira being number one!!!

  • your ideas sir, are great.....5 starz

  • we need ot make a poll so htat parkour WONT be an olympic sport.

  • Parkour is a completely non - competitive art, you have very good views of about Parkour, and I hope there are more people like you. And yes I do not like the idea of Parkour becoming an Olympic sport.

  • @Traceurification yes i think parkour should never become an onlympic sport event because what makes parkour so diffrent and special is the fact that its free its how you want to do it unlike any sport,i love parkour and freerunning i think they are both grate like they are. the only thing i hate right now is it seems like everyone likes it (mostly kids) because it looks cool and it makes them want to do it to just impress people witch is not what parkour or freeruning is about. i hope change :)

  • Thankyou so much for this video.

I came across trueblueaustralian's video a little while back and tried to comment on it with a peaceful response telling him my thoughts. He immediately took this as a threat and deleted my comments each time I posted.

  • @MaxRunham

The world needs more people like you, understanding and logical. The world isn't a safe place, we're not always going to be kept from harm. Of course we should be careful, but... there's safe and there's paranoid.

    Thankyou for sharing, take care.

    Much love, Max x

sorry about the double post.. wouldn't let me do it in one.

  • you fuckin own max <3

  • You're the king man!

  • i like this guy

  • Plus, if someone distracts you when you fall, then you can fly (according to hitchiker's guide to the galaxy).

  • A 70 year old lecturer once told the audience that one of the most important things you should learn for maintaining your health is how to fall. That is, how to fall without injuring yourself. After all, everyone will fall eventually.

  • agreed.

  • me too

  • also a physical art...graffiti moevment

  • so true!, thnx man.

i hope it does be a olympic sport.

i too do parkour and freerunning. check me channel.

    Great video

  • do you know that parkour doesn't has anything to do with competitions or stuff like that?

and i think, olympic is a kind of competition

  • I'm a Traceur as well, but I hope it never becomes an olympic sport, or for that matter a sport like football, or basketball, because parkour is not a sport, it is a discipline, Things like competition, money, awards, these things would pervert it even farther

  • thank you

  • :D glad to see an open minded person about parkour :D

    :) thanks

  • we need to hold a poll to make parkour an Olympic sport.

  • Parkour isn't a sport though, it's a physical and mental discipline.

  • ty, I think the majority of people who want parkour to be an olympic sport are not Traceurs, because a real Traceur knows its a discipline, its a life style, not just some sport that they do in there spare time, with competition, there will prizes, and greed will follow, soon the discipline has been perverted, look at martial arts, it has become perverted (im also a martial artist), on the subject one thing that I hate are people who use these disciplines for the wrong reasons.

  • this guy is a legend we should do parkour with him, its dumb how cops and ppl tell u to stop jumpin off this and dnt do that and blah blah blah u my friend are awesome auzzie's rule only if ur from NSW XD

  • Comment removed

  • ur a sweet man, and your very bright, thanks for understanding parkour

  • I LOVE PARKOUR!

  • your a legend most adults think is bad and think were vandals

    5*****

  • Much love mate your an Awesome! Guy 5*+ much success to you

  • Good to see your supporting us bro thankyou (:

  • thank you very much for this you are a good man take care XD

  • :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

  • Unfortunately, not everyone understands how destructive the dicipline parkour can be if not trained properly. The amount of impact from a drop, for instance, is terrible. Just because you don't feel pain in a movement, doesn't mean that you dont get hurt. When you turn about 40 you will start feeling it. If you want to last, you'll need to train very hard, both physically and technicaly and realize that the art is far from spectacles and showoff that you see on the TV and/or the internet.

  • Thank you for posting this up mate, its a real plessure to see that someone who doesn't practice the art is just as open minded as us about it and thank you for voicing your opinions. You covered it very well if i might add and more people like you need to be around who understand what it is what we are doing. That we are not just kids mindlessly vandanilsing property, that we are simply using the various arrangements of our surrounds in order to move in a different way :D

  • very kool video mate, some nice points there. Glad to see people who actual understand why we do it, thanks Neal.

  • Amazing, that's made my day. There needs to be more people like this in the world and less negatives :)

  • Why doesn't every person who is older think like this!

  • that was pleasant:P

  • hmm its nice to se that you understand what we do and our motives, but competition (you mentioned the olympics) is not a part of parkour. parkour is not about being better than other people, which you seemed to understand when you said its not about fancy tricks

  • nice vid, strong words :)

  • If by chance I ever come to Australia to participate in some Parkour I'd like to give you a handshake sir. :) 5/5

  • You could be fit enough to do it if you started training now lolll

  • ^_^ Very cool. I'm glad that a non-practitioner understands our objectives, and that we aren't just a bunch of kids that think we're indestructible. We all understand the dangers in our art, like martial artists, and other professional athletes, just as you say.

  • Good to see that good people like you are supporting the art. :) :) :)

  • i agree with you

  • Thank you! hope more people feels like you do :D and yes we work really hard to

do parkour. and perfect example. "imagine a big invinsible monster is chasing you". sorry if my grammar is a bit bad but im swedish so.

  • u sound like a kiwi bro..

ah well thanks for that, showed my parents and they are now letting me learn parkour!

  • Thanks. I am glad your parents are now letting you learn parkour. Be strong, train hard, learn and make them proud. Take care.

  • Le vrai Parkour

  • FINELY SOMEONE HO UNDERSTANDS!!! unlike my parents. =S

  • THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING

  • THANK YOU UNDERSTANDING

  • I don't think it should be an olympic event but I do hope more parkours fill the streets of North America so they would look more exciting and vibrant instead of this dull and depressing concrete wasteland filled with dull cars we have now.

  • i like you, you speak sense, Subscribed =D

  • Your way to talk is excellent, really calm and peaceful. Thanks a lot ofr your wise words!

  • Olympik event?

  • haha, people hurt themself playing soccer and shit too... parkour is cewl ;P

  • you are right in many sports u can hurt yourself

  • good man! I agree entirely!!

  • I've literally been training for two years specifically for parkour and martial arts. I cannot afford real classes or equipment, so the internet is my trainer.

I broke my leg doing a backflip wrong, unfortunately... And I've been working out for 3 months now so I can do parkour again, it's like a goal I can always follow.

Thanks for understanding our drive, mate. We are very determined people.

  • its true if you doing parkour right you never gets hurt

  • Just Go With The Flow.

  • this true m8 ...thanks for all of us who do parkour

  • thank you vary much for posting this been training for a cuple of years now and it realy is just like any other sport

  • sssoooooooooooooo trueee man!

You are the only man i saw that realy understand us kids!

    thanks :P

  • You are awesome! I will Rate and Subscribe.

  • just speechless no comment.... i can talk on and on and on and on about parkour... but i just dont hav da space to do i hahaah eny way 5* & subscibe

  • finally! you totally understand young people, not like others who think parkour is like vandalizing

  • you're welcome.

  • now I have a video to show adults it is safe ive done some crazy stuff and never gottonhurt but cuts and bruises

  • when I get fitter I want to train in Brisbane.

  • Love the invisible monster idea.

    Your awesome man.

  • thank you.

  • SICK

  • Grahama you make me Cry

    :|

  • GrahamAndFriends is a cool guy

  • Somehow, this video always brings tears to my eyes.. cheers again Mate!

  • i bet half of these comments are from users that have PK, Parkour, or Traceur in their names lol

  • Thanks for the Support

  • Nice video, BUT talking as a traceur myself, Parkour shouldn't be in the olympics because you can't compete in parkour, its not about beating someone or being better then someone. So competeing over who is the best tracuer would be, in my opinion, Disgraceful!

  • yes you have a good point there. What I meant to say in my video is to have it a demonstration activity at the Olympics to show ppl the skill invovled.

  • Yeh, i'm right with you there :D

  • thanks man, cudnt say it etter myself, people in my school go so over the top about me nd my mate bein traceurs (freerunners), its pathetic, they do stupid things like put their hands on a table, jump like 2 inchs high nd move to the side nd say "yeah i do por qua" all we can do is say, actually its parkour nd grow up mate. but yeah, i wish every1 cud share ur opinion.

  • tell them it gives you great exercise and a stronger body.

  • Same happens with me and my mate but then we tell them to come out for a session with to us to see what it is really about, they then think twice next time.

btw nice vid, some good points made there but yes demonstration not competition

  • i love the positive message.

    great video.

    thank you.

  • Did I hear you say Football, AND Soccer.

    I guess its official.

    : (

  • Thanks mate could you do one about free running because now i know what parkour is but i am not 100% sure what free running is?

    thanks

  • I Think i love you, That was amazing.. Thank you :)

  • Dude, very well said.

Why don't you gert more in shape and give it a go?

  • well put man very gd vid

  • i hope it never becomes an olypic event because parkour is a disiplin its not competetive and it is 100% not a sport

although i did like your video and enjoyed the message i disagree with some of your concepts

  • there is dangers in crossing the road, there is dangers in riding a bike, so what do we do? never do these things again?

  • Great video, thank you so much. It really annoys me people who say Parkour is not safe. Driving a car isn't safe, having a Beer isn't safe, they are risks, just like Parkour. Just as you assess your risks in life, such is the same for Parkour. Great Video!

  • wow graham my cousin does parkour.. I asked him if he had any injuries... and he said no and then he explained me that he trained to avoid injuries , flexibility etc.

    awesome video !

  • These where very touching words thank you lol. I'm very happy someone who doesn't do it understands it so well. Also, I'm sure if you try hard enough you can get fit enough to do parkour! Parkour has no limitations for people :D

  • thanks so much man, means alot seeing a non-practitioner sharing simular views =)

  • you have made more sense than any of my attemps to explain parkour thank you for supporting all tracuers and too be honest i hope parkour stays small because o really don't want people clogging the rooftops but the rest makes sense to me

  • thank you very much for sticking up for us and supporting what we do and i belive all tracueres around the world would to

  • WHY IS PACKOUR NOT IN THE OLYMPICS?!?!? WTH!?

it's dangerous and injuries, but we all know that u can get injured in any sport lol.

but parkour i think is the least dangerous because u know what u are getting into, and u can take pre-caution in training, and u can do casual and not jump off roofs.

  • Because Parkour isn't a sport. It's an Art.

  • ... all sports are art man...

  • You don't understand, David Belle himself has stated that he doesn't think of Parkour as a sport, for Sports contain competition against one another. Parkour isn't that.

    Great video though, Graham!

  • well... wat if u time yourself with a friend? and who ever get over the obstacle faster wins... same thing goes for olympics, everyone get the same obstacle maps, and u can practice it the for 4 years via 100 meters 200 meter, stuff like that. all parkour needs is a standard, and a lot of people interested in it.

  • But it was never meant to be a competitive sport is my point.

  • lol when u have enough people like me, ANYTHING is "competitivable"

  • thanks for the respectful words

nice too see some one who doesnt do parkour actually understanding what we do

  • Respect!

  • yeh man u have my respect it's good that u respect us and wot we do

  • For the longest time I allways thought it was impossible to understand parkour unless you have actually done it yourself. You have proven me wrong. You understand it almost spot on. I'm so glad to see this. I really hope people like you can educate other on parkour and why we do it. Thank you for defending my life. :)

  • You rule dude as a Traceur who does parkour I salute you :)

  • you are cool man haha :)

  • the man. Theres a difference between parkour and freerunning. Freerunning is the dangerous one.You are awsome

  • parkour isn't meant to be dangerous

traceurs should know what they CAN and CANNOT do. accidents happen unfortunately. as for me im a beginner at parkour and im only sticking to vaults and lower risk jump to roll kind of stuff. no flips or fancy stuff yet

  • Thank you for supporting us in everything we do. Although, I disagree with it being an Olympic event. Parkour isn't about competitiveness. BUT, I do hope that someday it is excepted in our socitey.

  • 2nd that. Parkour isn't supposed to have competitions. Its not about being better that someone else. Its about improvement of yourself. But otherwise Graham you're the man. Thanks for the support

  • totally agree about what you said apart from the opympic sport and as you said parkour is for everyone so pull on your trainers and get outside and start training and better yourself always believe.

  • everything graham said was 100% true and i completely agree with him! :)

  • wow ever thing u just said is ture, i do parkour myself n i love it n it really helpful in somways so dont listen 2 the person who commented b4 me!!

  • it will never be an olympic event because us traceurs consider it a discipline not a competition. Also every sport has risks and us traceurs take precations to not hurt ourselves.

  • I Love You! :D

  • Agreed. you put this in a good way, Im glad some people are seeing it as people who wish to express themselves rather than people who are daredevils and have a deathwish.

  • i agree with most the things ya saying man.

but having it as an Olympic sport would totally annihilate and destroy parkour.

our community was built on support and non-competition, anyway i respect that your defending parkour, did a way better job of explaining bout it then truebluefaggot, we need more people like you around, you respect what we do and all.

    anyway sweet vid!

  • Alot of stuff isn't safe, the best things arn't safe. it wouldn't be fun or challenging if you couldn't get hurt, and it also wouldn't be impressive to anone watching. Watching "safe" parkour and free running is the equivilent to watching a 2 year old crawling around the living room.

  • Now I feel like running onto the caravan, jumping off it too the trailer and then flying over the neighbors fence

  • top gu
