I have just bought one of these, they are old BUT heres how to make it much faster:

Solder two pins on ICS chip ->this increases board from 100FSB to 133FSB. Upgrade processor to 1.8GHz. It will now run at 2.4GHz and is comparable to entry level dual-cores!!!

I'm running Windows 7 on my NC6000 with 512 MB ram, and it's going fast with that amount of ram. But it took me two hours to find the Vista/7 drivers for the ATI 9600.

Love those laptops ;-)

Right now I'm running windows 7 on my nc 6000. Everything seems to be working just fine except for my wireless. Would you happen to know which wireless driver I need?? I tried pretty much everything and nothing seems to work.

Try either a Vista Driver (it should work with 7) or if you have a XP Driver, change the Setup.exe properties for the compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 2. My girlfriends laptop is a HP Pavilion DV2000 series and I had to do that to until they release a Windows 7 Driver

Hey FRIDAY i really need your help with the nc 6000 .....the bluetooth does not work nor the wireless i tryed every thing like install drivers and reinstalll nothing helped can u make a video to fix that probelm... and my lights never cut on the antenna light or bluetooth

just brought this laptop my first 1 ever hope it serve's me well atleast till im 16

I got 2 problems;

1-If I have my usb mouse attached and I start it up, the mouse pad dosnt work(to make it work i have to restart computer and take off the usb mouse)

2-Battery dosnt work properly it maximum goes for 10minutes then gives me low battery message. Even if I charge the laptop for full night and unplug the ac adaptor it only works for like 10 minutes... I seriously need some help with this laptop!

Its supposed to be on already.. thats if you are using vista... for xp check the services panel and turn bluetooth and iRda on...
