Man I am from El Salvador and i also support the United States when my country is not in the same competition, the world cup for example. But i feel bad because the US Soccer team doesnt deserve half empty stadiums they deserve full support and full stadiums. I hope one day to see a US match where they overcrow the rival crow...

From watching these kinda games, I feel El Salvador should co-host a World Cup with Honduras. El Salvador has one of the loudest and best crowdsI've heard ever, and Honduras has very loyal and amazing fans. It would be perfect.

el salvadors biggest problem is learning to finish the play to score..

Lack of concentration too. Look at how the 2nd US goal originated, a long ball that posed no real threat, (8:40) Pacheco could have just covered it and let it go off the end line but instead he heads it to grant an unnecessary corner kick. Those are the "little" things that can mean the difference between winning or losing.

thats why they got arturo alvarez .... they learn man after big defeats they learn ... i still think el salvador will be the third place team due to fact that el salvador has a game vs TNT then against the states which have shown that we can play with them , while mexico has usa and then cost rica and then honduras . really el salvador has the better luck cause 2 games against costa rica and honduras at home which they should win only game that looks hard for them is against the us and mexico

This is a great film! a couple of pointers however:

1) El salvador gave up quickly

2) USA plays weird. They touch well enough to play strong as a team but are weak finishers. In the first half they demonstrated this very well.

3) El salvador should have pressed a bit more with their game but they gave into delay tactics when they should have kept playing to secure the win and instead lost.

Not sure about this team mentallity.

Im not too good with soccer but.

1)usa is a "better team" and el salvador players didn't give up, they became exhausted from playing what some say a better team, give credit to usa.

2)usa needs to touch the ball alot better to compete w/ elite team.

3)ES should have pressed more and used delay tactics.

Im not sure about your mentallity......

and i dont think 2-2 counts as a loss. not even mentally

Maybe your parents will one day teach you that its Salvadoran. Anyway, El Salvador had some issues going into this game. They weren't getting paid their salaries so they hadn't practiced in some time. They simply ran out of gas. They have proven since then that this was no fluke. Teams have yet to beat them convincingly and everyone seems to have their worst night when they face El Salvador at home or away. Coincidence? This young squad (avg. age 23) should play well in the years to come.

They weren't faking anything this game. El Salvador was putting in too much, and they got completely worn out. A lot of the players collapsed from such small touches because they were tired enough, since El Salvador's players are only 70 minute players.

The US had a bad night. They did'nt play to their potential until the end of the match. El Salvador did good but they got lucky at the end with thier positioning and some good saves from thier keeper. U.S. can't afford to play Costa Rica, Mexico or Honduras like that.

Listen, I'm Salvadorean and grew up 2 blocks from that stadium until I was 20, lived here in the States since, been to 1000s of games there & here and that was by FAR the loudest 35k+ I have ever experienced in my life! I had no voice for over a week after that game. I think we can beat it when we face Mexico in June!

El Salvador played well only until the 77 min. My thought is; if the US had this much of difficulty playing away from home against El Salvador, they really need to start thinking about Honduras, Costa Rica, and yes, even Mexico. Mexico is not doing well, but they have an undeniably historic advantage at home. USA should still qualify, but not on top of the group. No CONCAF team has two forwards like David Suazo and Carlo Costly playing together.

we have allways had the skills to be a good team but never have had the preperations of other teams like endurance or conditioning lack of disclpine and lack of skills from other players we have played against, we do not have the state of the art conditioning as other teams have but we do have hearts that can play there asses off until 55 min in the game

absolutely and that's where we got beat. But we played you like we say in Spanish "de tu a tu" until the 77th minute. We needed that win as it will be very tough to do it in Salt Lake City. The US federation was smart to take that game to a city as far away as possible from any large Salvadorean colonies. I guarantee you you play that game at RFK or the L.A. Coliseum it sells out!

half of the delays were probably excusable. These Salvi players don't get the care and attention they deserve. Awesome video...thanks you very much for uploading it.
