If you knew any history you'd know that FOX started in 90's cause the left wing media controlled everything. Now Fox is the number one rated cable news network. No one is every close.
The channel started in 1996. It was concieved ten years earlier when Murdoch bought 20th Century Fox and Fox broadcasting. It was actually created as a Reagan worship station since he was infatuated with Ronald Reagan. Murdoch then went on to create sky news in the U.K. Which under law, they must stay neutral. Otherwise they would be just as bias as Fox. Thus the reason why pieces of fox news slip into the U.K. on Sky which then pisses off the whole damn country for a while.
PMSNBC pisses off the whole country too. Well, if would if we all watched it. But for people who actually want the truth, FOX is their best bet. Hussein's supporters are all watching Dancing with the Stars or some other intellectual programming.

Sunshine. We don't have one major TV news source in the UK, we have five of them on different stations. We have the BBC, ITN, Channel Four, SKY news and also Five News available to all viewers. The BBC is also NOT Government run. The Government can't decide what the BBC covers or how it covers it. British Governments complain about the BBC News frequently- because the BBC news services often challenge the Government of the day.

I also see where the confusion of the 'tonnes' remark came from. When Brits say 'tonnes' or 'tons' in that context they just mean 'a lot' of something. I think he meant that in context to what he was writing.

The channel started in 1996. It was concieved ten years earlier when Murdoch bought 20th Century Fox and Fox broadcasting. It was actually created as a Reagan worship station since he was infatuated with Ronald Reagan. Murdoch then went on to create sky news in the U.K. Which under law, they must stay neutral. Otherwise they would be just as bias as Fox. Thus the reason why pieces of fox news slip into the U.K. on Sky which then pisses off the whole damn country for a while.

Also in Britian, where you have but one major source of news, that being the government ran BBC, one would hope that you brits would want a second news source. One NOT controlled by government. Sunshine. We don't have one major TV news source in the UK, we have five of them on different stations. We have the BBC, ITN, Channel Four, SKY news and also Five News available to all viewers. The BBC is also NOT Government run. The Government can't decide what the BBC covers or how it covers it. British Governments complain about the BBC News frequently- because the BBC news services often challenge the Government of the day.

If you watched my video, (which I suspect you didn't), you will know that I explained how you can still say anything you want in the UK, as long as it isn't lies or heavily biased. But deliberate loopholes have been let in to allow differing viewpoints to proliferate. Its called 'due impartiality'.
And liberty does not cover lying. Food companies do not have the liberty to say their products are nut-free if they're not.

I totally agree with you that MSNBC, CNN etc. should be viewed in the same way as FOX. MSNBC in particular would be treated in the same way as FOX. Both are heavily biased, just in different directions. The reason I talk only about FOX is because they are the only ones who say they are 'Fair and balanced', which they aren't. If MSNBC called themself 'Fair and balanced I would have just as big a problem with them.

As I explained in the video, the UK bans FOX (and potentially MSNBC etc.) because they are heavily biased. Not because they are differing in opinion.
BTW, having something run by the government doesn't mean the whole country is a communist state.

Sadly, having come from the left, I can tell you, Fox is probably the only group that really gives fair and balanced information. If I want in-the-tank kool aid, I go to MSNBC, if I want diluted news, I go to most other stations. But, if I really want real information, I go to Fox. I trust those reporters 9 million percent over the likes of Keith Olbermann, or most media!
