To me all this search for alien lifeforms in stills is as useess as the potatoechips people find with an pattern resembling jesus.

Sure speculation can be fun, but is taken to extremes sometimes and who knows... maybe a few people at NASA is just having fun and sees it as a sport to mess around with peoples minds.

The image can be found at the University of Arizona's Phoenix mission website as a press release image from sol 0C. Phoenix's heat shield, parachute and aerodynamic shell landed fairly close to the lander. Go search for a satellite view of Phoenix from the MRO's HiRISE camera - you'll see where the heat shield and the backshell/parachute landed. From that satellite image, I'd wager that's the aerodynamic backshell.
