  • The song is Never Let Go by Bryan Adams.

  • wie heißt der song am anfang von 0:00 bis 0:27 ??

  • What is this song

  • Best 4 years of my life.

    GM2-G2 1966-1970

  • I am joining uscg in about 2 months, I would love to be ast but I heard it is extremely tough. Are there any other search and rescue related jobs? I just don't want to have a desk job. Thanks

  • what a great video, i cant wait to join the great service of the U.S Coast Guard. they dont recieve anywhere near the credit that they deserve. God bless the Coast Guard and God bless America!

  • leaving for boot in march. God Bless Coasties

  • @MrClassifi3d haha i leave for basic march 27th! cant wait

  • Duncan doesn't realize that God endorsed war in the Bible?... It's gotta be a cause worth fighting for. Personally I think fighting people who would gladly blow up the twin towers and themselves along with it is a cause worth fighting against.

  • Coast Guard people are nothing but Navy rejects who flunked out of Navy school.

  • @duncan7599 so u go out into the worst storms possible to save people? didnt think so, ill remember that when ur stuck on a sinking boat in the middle of a huge storm in the ocean and nobody will be there cuz their just fails. shut up and show some repect who risk their lives to save selfish ppl like u

  • @jaitchproductions Shut the fuck up you no frills life guard with a gun.

  • @duncan7599 and your nothing but a faggot trashing the us army becuase u have no real friends/life. your the kind of ppl who will go strait to hell without God even having to judge you.

  • @jaitchproductions You want to talk about Gods judgement? Well the moment people join the military they sold their souls away. Karma always catches up with people who take part in war. Who do you think God will judge harshly, someone like me who only bitches about his opposition to war and never harmed anyone in his life or someone who took part in war and invaded and killed many people? Haven't you noticed how vets are always suffering for the rest of their lives, Its called KARMA.

  • @duncan7599 if we didnt have war we would all be dead from terrorist killing us, were over there to stop the terrorists, someone has to do it, and that doesnt send their souls away, a lot of them are good people and will go to heaven, many join to straiten their lives up from when they were having trouble. its the blood thirsty ppl on your profile that dont exist, many army soldiers arent blood thirsty killing machines

  • @duncan7599 its called the sacrifice that we make so that the rest of the country can live without those memories. i am a life long democrat and i dislike war as much as you do but i will serve my country so you can say what you want to, because i respect your freedoms. as you say we sell our souls? the majority of military members joined so that they can put food on the table for their families or make a better life for themselves. spend some time with a military member, listen to their stories

  • @duncan7599 bullshit... you have no clue what your talking about so just stop talking

  • you guys got to start doing a better job detecting Mexican drug Submarines and drug torpedoes. Mexico is running rings around you.

  • Biraghi128, Idk how the army works but uscg you have to be an officer to pilot, we have amt, aet, ast as enlisted aviation rates

  • I've decided to join the army out of high school and become a helicopter pilot. After my years are up I wish to join the coast guard as a jayhawk pilot, seeing as I'd already have expierence with flying and the blackhawk. I plan on transporting and helping out and then on to something better. Saving lives, there's got to be no better feeling.

  • I swear to sign away 4 years of my life to the UNITED STATES COAST GUARD.I understand that at least twice a day, someone will refer to me a member of the Navy, and when I correct them, they will question my military status. I will work on boats the size of kayaks during the worst of natures storms, and recieve no thanks or notice from the public.

  • @osubuckfan1: Thank You

  • @osubuckfan1 Amen. I will sit on a rock for a year watching an antenna so vessels can find safe harbor in the furthest reaches of the world,. I will go into a Typhoon and spit in Neptunes Eye to save the life of a stranger while giving up my own. And I will shout from the farthest ends of the earth "YOU'RE WELCOME" because thanks are rarely heard.

  • @osubuckfan1 I went into the Coast Guard in 1970 and didn't experience any of what you say here. Wherever I went I was treated with the highest respect. In the VA system I'm actually given preference. So I take exception to your claim that Coasties are misunderstood and mistreated. I will always be a very proud veteran of the US Coast Guard.

    Thomas

  • I will fly in helos into the eye of the storm to rescue people dumber then rocks, and then be heckled by the same people when I bust them for transporting drugs two months later.! I will prevent thousands of gallons of pollution, but be accused of impeding the economy when I won't allow vessels to pour oil into the ocean. I will be the red-headed step child to all of the other services, although I know I got the better deal. All of my equipment will be discarded Navy property.

  • I will attend training that will give me a great competitive edge in the career field of my choice, making retention efforts of the Coast Guard pointless. I will come in contact with so many pollutants during my tenure, I will glow in the dark for the rest of my natural life and refer to myself as "salty" because of it. I will do my best to work 8 to 3, with a two hour lunch, on normal days, and have my pager and cell phone surgically attached, SO HELP ME GOD.

  • Those Dauphin helicopters sure blow my little R44 Raven outta the water.. I envy those pilots! :D

  • I was USAF, and these guys have alot more guts than most give them credit for.

  • my son is a U.S coast guard and i wouldnt say that they're gay if the protect the coastal areas of this country, you say that they dont have guns? ha your funny my son is the gun man of a .50 caliber machine gun on the chopper! and his buddy is the sniper that shoots the hostile boats engine!... he is a rescue swimmer as well and im damn proud of what he does!!

  • @shawnnamitchell31 Tell your son thank you for all of them out there that don't appreciate us...and i personally thank him for his service Im about to join!

  • @shawnnamitchell31 Sir all i can say is HELL YEAH!!!! I'll be in my senior year next year and i hope to get into the academy. Can't wait to one day be a flight mechanic or part of the Deployable operations group. Your son is damn brave to dive into water no matter how dangerous it is, so that others may live. SEMPER PARATUS!!!!

  • @shawnnamitchell31 You should be proud!!! Think of Coast Guard and Border Patrol when I hear Homeland Security.Drug smugglers dont wanna be caught and shoot at the Guard and Patrol.Coast Guard also deploy along with US Nvay to parts of the world to take up coastal patroling in shallow waters to stop weapon/drug/people smuggling. I served along side many sailors of the US Coast Gaurd. They are armed and they do the bulk of the ship boardings.

  • what type of helicopter at 1:10?

  • @jukio02 mcdonald Douglas Explore "at least i think" ,,sorry for bad spelling

  • @KKKSuperFan right wing tard, the military is BABY KILLERS

  • Y THE FUCK DISLIKE THIS ?????

    SERIOUSLY ?????

  • WTF!!! they have guns!?! O_o

  • @NicoandLuisFan yes they do

  • what song at 50

  • @robot7070 never let go - bryan adams

  • ive been watching so many videos and the coast guard is underrated. they risk their live live every other military branch. thats why i hope to go to the academy and become a part of the US coast Gaurd. SEMPER PARATUS!!!!

  • i just wanted to say that Ive listened to every coast guard tribute video on you tube and this one is by far the best. I'm extremely interested in joining the coast guard academy and being able to call my self one of the few called upon by many.

  • @mrmattastic it's part of the guardian suite. The guardian suite is at the beginning and end. The song in the middle is called never let go. All are on the guardian album.

  • someone please tell me the name of the song that starts at 4:54 in the video.........VERY COOL....

  • What's the name of the first song? Just at the beginning

  • @Colt357B Part of the Guardian Suite by Trevor Rabin

  • My grandpa was a coast guard, i hope 2 be 1 also. awsome tribute!

  • I go to basic in June. I'm pumped! I can't wait to begin my service!

  • Who ever posted that the Coast Guard is gay needs to go spend a day with us and see what we do on a daily basis. I spent 4 yrs in the Coast Guard from 91-95 and every day I remember those I served with. We are all brothers and sisters Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. How ever we are the smallest branch and the most forgotten one as well.

    Semper Paratus

  • @Jvanhoosen2 I love the brave! Rock on.

  • @bluesky747er Thanks for the support. Its people like you that make what we do or in my case did worth while

  • @Jvanhoosen2 I am not even American, yet I not only praise but eulogise the brave men of this very great nation of which USCG are a significant, skillful and proud part. Live on and serve.

  • @bluesky747er because of people like you we do what we do and defend you with the ultimate price our lives your support means a great deal to all of us.

  • Everyone should be grateful that there's a coast guard to protect them, and to really be there when you need them. Neither the NAVY or the USAF will go out to help you if your fishing boat is sinking, neither they will be there to save you from drowning or being lost at sea, like many immigrants from Cuba. The Coast Guard branch does not only risk their lives for their country's citizens, but for every soul they can rescue from distress.

  • @harold562 you said it harold we go out when the navy comes back in because its too rough. The motto so others may live is a life long commitment. We would gladly die to save another persons life. That's why we do what we do.

  • I am a U.S. Marine and would consider anyone in the Coast Guard one of my brothers! They are most deff military! I have done water survival training with them, And they are all a great group of guys! Semper Fi!!

  • @steverileo Thanks steverileo I have had the pleasure of working with Marines on multiple occasions and they are family I was in the Coast guard and am Proud to have served this country and my fellow coasties and brothers in arms. Semper Fi/ Semper Paratus

  • i didnt know they flew the md 902....

  • @peterawsome MH-90 Enforcers were flown by HITRON-10 in 1999. The unit originally flew leased MD 900 and MD 902 helicopters with the unofficial military designation of MH-90 Enforcer. When the decision was made to make the squadron permanent and expand it to eight aircraft, Federal contracting laws required a competitive bid to choose a permanent aircraft for the mission.

  • OMG Coast guard is military! can everyone just stop bickering about that?

  • Sorry, but I hate it when I see pictures of Ashton Kutcher in all these videos. His is not nor ever will be in the United States Coast Guard!

  • Fighting a war with mother nature is always much harder than fighting a war with humans!

  • Seriously, the Coast Guard is treated like the garbage man. No one really notices him or don't care, but without him, there would be shit everywhere! I've got two more years before I sign that enlistment form for the USCG. And of course the Coast Guard is a military branch, why do you think they always say our 5 branches of the military!

  • I have a shitload of respect for coastguard rescue swimmers. I can't even imagine what they go through. You have to have a lot of balls to do what they do.

    "So that others may live"

  • i think this guy is an air dale

    mk3 uscg

  • Motherfukers foreign invaders and oil thieves

  • coast gaurd works just as hard as every other branch there out there to save lifes just like every other branch is

  • i cant stand people who say coast guard is this or isnt a real branch or for pussies i dont understand i mean what the fuck

  • A Coast Guard Officer is also the only person in the military that can arrest a person overseas

  • @542401 exactly

  • Actually, the Coast Guard was established August 4, 1790. "The Coast Guard is one of the oldest organizations of the federal government and, until the Navy Department was established in 1798, we served as the nation's only armed force afloat." The organization has been a part of every war the U. S. has been a participant and has sent "Coasties" and their vessels overseas to all overseas wars. They have suffered casualties while serving in those wars as well. God bless the the USCG.

  • To anyone out there that says the USCG isnt a true military branch, than you are DEAD wrong! There are Rescue Swimmers that go out everyday in frigid cold and rapid waters to save people. Others work with the homeland security protecting ports, water ways, lakes, rivers and oceans all around the world! They board ships arresting terrorists, smugglers, and stowaways, keeping this country safe, clean and secure. They also work with the Navy in war time. USCG do things the Navy cant. Theyre needed

  • oh yay another slide show on youtube

  • Whats that first song called?

  • OK potential Coastie parents, here's what we did. when our son turned 12 we gave him experiences instead of birthday presents. At 12 he took a Naui scuba course next hang gliding at marina state beach on the Monterey bay, endless hours free climbing, When he started driving we spent a lot of time driving off road to build his skills. He's been in the ocean since before he could walk and today he's training a new generation of coxswain at Sector San Francisco as a reservist after 4 years in NY.

  • I hope you all die you stupid bunch of pussys

  • They do just about evrything all of the other branches of military do!

  • People hate on the coastguard... If you're ever trapped in a hurricane or flood and need to be rescued, those men and women will risk their lives in whatever condition to save your ass whether or not you respect them.

  • It's easier to take a life than to save one....im applying for the CSPI program as well as the Academy to challenge myself more than the other branches will.. I hope to fly one day for the USCG

  • in ww2 the USCG sunk more Uboats then the Navy, ALOT MORE

  • Semper Paratus!!

  • Like Smackthatsham said, "No one cares about USCG until they need them." Specially the Navy. I think all the branches should be treated with respect because the USA would not be here if it was not for EVERY single one of the branches. It Don't matter who has the hardest boot camp or hardest job the thing that matters is that they are have sacrificed people to keep us safe. That's why i don't see why people don't appreciate the U.S Coast Guard because they work Just as Hard as Every other Branch.

  • @Snowfireful, also in ww2 the USCG sunk more Uboats then the Navy

  • @Snowfireful and twice as hard as squids ;)

  • hey guys im joining the coastgurad god bless all of those who gave their lives to save another if you make anything just 1% better you did your jobs but the coastguard will always do more than 1% they will make it 100% god bless the men and women who died saving someone else. im joining when im 18! guys thank you all who gave there lives to protect us. freedom is not free there is always a price

  • great video!!! thanks for posting it!!!

  • i dont know what to do when i grow up cause there are too many choices in the armed forces its either the USCG or the USMC,US ARMY,OR the special forces

  • I Get To Do That Pretty Soon:).

I Wanted To Do It My Whole Life:)

  • good luck

  • poor coasties, theyre so underratted. im a navy fan(my dads in the navy), the COAST GAURD also deserves gratitude

  • @beerme2004 ur messed watch when a huricane comes or some shit goes wrong and the coart guard has to come and save ur sorry ass youll be greatfull for them im only 13 and i want to be a boarding officer for them so suck it XD

  • beerme2004: You obviously don't know shit about the CG otherwise you wouldn't make stupid comments.

  • Dont worry about him guys. You have to remember that everything that is civil and not military, hates the military. Simply because we're the best! Dont mind this guy, he cant even be proud of saving lives, he has to proove that hi stick is bigger than ours(Wich it isnt) he's just one of those guys who does it for the fame and glory....

  • this is awesome, thanks for supporting the USCG!!

  • lol they're homeland security and defend our coasts so i wouldn't say they are gay

  • @Fichael428 lol can't believe some loser would say such a thing.

  • @Fichael428

DHS USCG MSRT, yeah, I wouldn't call those guys "gay"

we do our job, so the other branches can do their overseas without worrying about home. Because we protect it, we keep the US safe.

I never was a rescue swimmer, I didn't save lives, I was LE. So instead of being a direct life saver, I was in the background protecting.

Anyone that says USCG is "gay" just needs to spend a week with TACLET, MSST, MSRT or the Rescue Swimmers. I think they'd apologize

    Semper Paratus!!

  • anyone who says otherwise just needs to check out the Youtube vid for the USCG Special Mission Training Center or any DOG video.

Most of my friends, until they saw that orange float coat swore those guys were SEALs

  • @Fichael428 They are not just Homeland. take a like and you will see that they are in Iraq, fighting also.

  • @coppaz233 hahaha goood one buddy

  • Barely? Have you done any research? They are the 5th armed force of the United States they are the defenders of the homeland. The Military isn't just about killing It's about saving our own as well. And don't tell me they don't have large guns there ships have mounted 50 cal's.

  • Dude, you need to learn a thing or two!!! We ARE military, we just have a mission to save lives not to take them! Every branch of the service has a mission. Ours is to save the lives of those who are in distress. What do YOU do?

  • @halibreezy i'm a firefighter sooo go fuck yourself

  • There ya go! Thats what I've been preachin all along. People discredit our branch of service just because we're not what....gunning down terrorists? No diesrepect to those guys at all. I give full props to all branches of service who help defend and protect us. My hats off to all those who remain standing and of course, the fallen. I like to see some of these bad mouthing little brats go through the rigorous training the men and women of the USCG have to go through. Semper Paralus!!!

  • @GatorsNation Yeah man they bad mouth the Coast Guard until they get stuck in a storm and need them.

  • @halibreezy True that. Exactly why I'm going to enlist. Saving lives truly is the greatest job anyone can have.

  • @halibreezy From what i understand you guys are a branch of Homeland Security, and come under the Navy department during wartime. dont miss understand me, im not dissing you. I want to get into the rescue swimmer program when i get older.

  • @halibreezy I agree with u completely I would rather save lives instead of taking them.

  • @TitoBacallaoJr same here.

  • @halibreezy well sometimes we have to...our security teams are just that securing ports, waterways, and vessels that are under threat from hostiles. That's why we have the D.O.G., not saying I disagree with you just saying sometimes we have to kick a little ass : ).

  • @halibreezy, personally, I think coast guard has one of the toughest job .. perhaps worse than Marines. I don't see Marines risk their lives out there throwing swimmers in the ocean to bring shit load of people back home. Sure they go down to go fight, but bringing another person or more back with you is much harder job in my opinion.

  • @halibreezy hell ya thats what we do

  • @halibreezy Take a live if they have to, Maybe your own, or someone that try to smuggles drugs. But thats not the point. Point is to have the country safe, so it is worth it, if your life is tooken away.

  • what 's the difference between coast guard and cost guard auxiliary? thks!

  • Coast Guard is the actual military. They operate under 14USC89a and are subject to UMCJ. CG Aux are volunteers who work near their home. They have no LE authority as opposed to the real CG.

  • I work for the Baltimore Maritime Museum in Baltimore, MD and will be showing this to my superiors since it is so well done. 1 of our ships is probably the most well respected US Coast Guard cutter in their history though not well known to the public. The USCGC Roger B. Taney WHEC-37 is the only ship still afloat that survived the Pearl Harbor bombings of Dec. 7th 1941. The Coast Guard has a long and proud history that is just as impressive as our other armed forces. God Bless all our Troops!

  • Great video presentation, very professional

  • whats the song name and who sings it

  • whats the name of the begin song ?

  • never let go bryan adams

  • best coast guard video i've seen, great job!!!5/5

  • i want ot know the song at the end of the video!!!

  • never let go.... and i think its by Bryan Adams.... i think

  • Read the description =)

And I think Benzter14 is talking about the song the guy pulled form the end of the movie The Guardian.

  • guardian suite from "The Guarding" soundtrack

  • i want to join the us coast gaurd as a rescue swimmer an save lives, i think thats the best job some one could ever do

  • dam.. that was just beautiful..

  • many of the Pilots are from other branches of the military also Coasty pilots are some of the best pilots in the world. compared to other branches they have the fewest accidents and are always flying into a Storm just to save ppl, if they know your alive and in the middle of a Hurricane they'll go all the way just to save 1 person.

also the USCG is the most demanding on Education even more so then the USAF.

also USCG boot camp is harder then the Navy's

  • Videogamesrule8: I agree that all the US military's services should be equal but unfortunately at least 2 of the other services don't see it that way (Marines & Army) Of course they have that killing and maming attitude so that speaks for itself. The Coast Guard and the Navy are both defenders of our freedom plus are lifesavers. The only difference is there's more of the Navy than the Coast Guard.

  • i do give my respect to the the Coast Guard but i am joining the Navy or Air Force.

  • guys, stop arguing about which branch is the best, all the military branches are equal, and they all do there job as well as any other branch. Coast guard saves lives, army and marines defend our freedom, you dont have freedom without life.

  • If you think that for a minuete that the Coast Guard does not go to War you are ignorant. The CG has been in every war in the history of the USA. To say we dont risk our lives you obviously are clueless. As far as Small yes, we are. But our nation was formed by a few farmers (militia) against a very orginized british Army. Size only matters to men with small..........

  • Comment removed

  • No the Coast Guard is not the best branch. The NAVY, Air Force, Marine Corps and the Army are waaaaaaaaaay better then the Coast Guard. Cause they go to war and defend are freedom and risk thier lifes and they have much better pilots then the Coast Guard.

  • my Father was in the U.S Navy and the USCG he did 4 tours in Vietnam as Naval Spec ops. he killed ppl but he always said nothing feels better then saving someone.

pavehawk10 you have no idea what your talking about, I spend 15 years growing up around the USCG.

  • Dogmeat1950: I'm sure each time your Dad had too make a Kill or no Kill decision it was hard. But the gradification he had saving someones life made up in some ways for those hard decisions. hopefullly he isn't haunted by the past.

  • O no he's not haunted by it. He thinks about it some times an tells story's, he would do it all over again if he could. the ppl he killed he killed because they were trying to kill him.

Flying into a hot LZ to pick up Seals takes guts, flying through a storm in the bearing sea takes the same guts. he retired a few years ago with 33 years of service

  • Dogmeat1950: Your Dad's a better man than me! I only lasted 20yrs. Couldn't fallom spending additional 13 yrs. I didn't have too make the trip to Vietnam as I entered the Navy in the spring of '73. Every so often when I sleep I'll dream that I'm still on active duty somewhere. I would best discribe the event as a nightmare. When this occurs I fortunately wake up.

  • ah, ya well he almost got put out at at 25 years of Service, cause of some hearing loss. he passed the test and a bunch of Officers put a good word in for him.

I'm about to Join the U.S Army, cant' wait

my Family comes from a very strong military back ground, serving since 1776 in all branches.

  • Dogmeat1950: What branch did your Dad retire from?

  • he Retired from the USCG, at, ATC Mobile Chief petty officer, E7

he joined the Navy in 1967, did 4 tours in Vietnam 1968-1971 got out for about 2 years I think and then joined the USCG.

  • good luck

  • not true. coast guard helicopter pilots are some of the best helo pilots out there. air-sea rescue in a helo is one of the most difficult things a pilot can do

  • haha gees so untrue

  • i am hopping to join the coast guard after i finish high school!!!!

it is the best military branch!!!

  • thats why there called puddle pirates but they need to be alot more respeted they do alot of things other services dont do

  • Nice vid.

one more year of college then off to join the greatest military branch in the world...thats right, im talking about the United States Coast Guard!

  • I am proud to say my senior year in high school i am enlisting, Semper Paratus, Oorah!

  • Semper Paratus Zulu 151

  • u dont go over seas do you???

  • Yes we do, From Guam to Australia to the Med, Iraq. We are all over the world.

  • Also, apparently, they go to Somalia to aid in combating piracy according to the an L.A. Times report this morning.

  • good luck, a hope you make it through boot.

  • I am proud to say that next summer i will be enlisting into the Coast Guard..Semper Paratus

  • good luck
