  • Not sure this makes sense...?

    The point of a javelin turn is to show the femur of the outside leg pivot in the hip socket without turning the hips. The result is the inside ski stays pointed downhill, while the outside ski turns.

    If you're on your inside ski, turning only the femur in the stance ski hip socket would create a reverse wedge against the outside ski. Instead what you're doing here is just arbitrarily turning the free ski... what's the point?
