  • @mrchriss If memory serves, it's on the bonus disc of Imaginations Through the Looking Glass.

  • @HighLordMhoram Oh. I've totally forgot about the bonus disc O_o

  • και είμαστε ακόλουθοι της θέλησης του ενός

μέσα από τους σκοτεινούς χρόνους και εντός της καταιγίδας.

  • @llondinios αμην

  • @MrEinstain

There's a saying that people use on YouTube it's: don't feed the troll!!!

  • the beginning of the end for bg, really

shitty album and they never recovered (but still a great live band)

  • @LMTR14 THE FUCK?

  • @LMTR14 Obviously you didn't listen to At The Edge Of Time. Best album of 2011 by far.

  • @TheDayspring777 yeah no it isn't. wheel of time is the only really good song on it.

blind guardian really fell with nightfall in middle earth. all albums before were all killer no filler, all albums later only have a few good tracks each

  • @LMTR14 IMO, Nightfall In Middle Earth changed BG for the better. But I guess our musical opinions differ. Either way I love all metal and will support similar metal bands FOREVER! \m/>.<

  • Hansi+Andre+Marcus= GODS!! But bring Thomen back ! frederic is good but Thomen is special....

  • Out there...somewhere in Middle Earth...between Mordor and the Western Seas...There's an old man named Tolkien headbanging while he slays trolls and dragons...

  • \m/ Thomas Stauch \m/

  • If they ever make a Simarilian film,it should be flooded with Blind guardian music! xD!

  • This song blew me away... I happened to be in the middle of reading LOTR at the time. These guys will be legends forever, in my opinion.

  • i was looking for not a live edition of this song in youtube,BUT WTF,THIS IS WAY BETTER.

  • i can hear the engl sound

  • Hansi with long hair :'( sigh

  • @redhairpianogirl J.R.R. is! Proud of them! :) however: ome of greatest band of all time!

  • we are following the will of the oneeee... God, how i love this music!! Great band ;) ;) Tolkien should be proud of it from the high heaven :D ;)

  • This has got to be the best live show opening songs of all time. Possibly the best album opening track of all time too. And the best power metal album of all time. From the best power metal band of all time.

  • N.1000 liked

there should be a lot more

  • Whos with me Blind Guardian should get a role in the Hobbit!

  • @AlphaGenozid At least the soundtracks... :P

  • 12 people prefer the studio version...

  • How anyone can not dig such a bad-ass song I will never understand.

  • 0000

  • you know I've got nothing to do with satan except my sins but when I listen to this, I tend to follow morgoth..

  • "We are following the WILL OF THE ONE!"

  • ONE M00:00RE TIME

  • @hatbat1000 I always say that, but the one turns into one hundred :)

  • next time they come to Detroit, I've gotta be there. these guys are awesome.

  • tonight live in thessaloniki introducing the new album...yeaaaaaaaaaaaaha!

  • @ezio13altair Tonight we'll burn principal down !!

    Metal aderfe :D

  • In 18 hours live in Athens Greece

  • i consider myself lucky for being able to go and see them live!!! there will be others that wont be able to see them live at all!!

  • Marcus Siepen is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time.

  • I only know blind guardian since 3months.. been into metal for like 10years now, why didny anybody force me to listen to this ? this is SO GOOD, after 1 listen to the whole nightfall album (which I immediatly played again) that band became my favorite band of all time, and now I see what they do live is magic and that I missed the show here in quebec city which was about 1week before I discovered them, please ppl dont let anybody miss that band , humanity needs this :P

  • Blind Guardian is still going strong. I saw them in December and they were great. It was one of the best metal shows I have ever seen.

  • OMFG, Hansi's got one hell of a voice!! This song is freaking SWEET!! :D

  • this song is a lot more brutal live!

  • Best Band E V E R ...

  • For Iluvatar´s sake I will follow the guardian of the blind!!!

  • amazing song...

12 are not following the will of the one...

  • April 29th 2011. Belgrade. Can't wait! ^^

  • lol wtf? i dont see these kinda crowd in north america for metal shows

  • why don't they make a world tour with all their great songs like mirror mirror, the bards song, nightfall, etc.etc.? that would be so awesome *___*

  • @weltenpilgerer they do

  • @Costa3a really?

  • @Costa3a yeah is ja mal cool

  • @weltenpilgerer Yeah, they do. I was just at a live show last night, and they did play Mirror Mirror, the Bard's Song, Nightfall, etc. And by the gods it was EPIC.

  • Serious all those abbrevations don't make any sense. DT with BF on BJ who sucks a big C... I read 5 pages of comments and couldn't make any sense of them XD

  • I want to see them live so bad... They never come to Portland!

I think they're coming to Seattle in December... I have to be there!

  • who do i meet on saturday in trier?

  • Awesome perfomance!!!

  • yups. is better. they are always better than in studio. what a team!!! best metal of this days!!

  • I never even liked BG until I saw the live performances. Now I can't get enough.

  • That's an orginal band. Hell yeah!

  • they sound better because they're alot more epic when theres all the crowd singing the chorus's

  • Hansi hits EVERY FUCKING NOTE! That's really rare. Compare it to Cedric Zavala who can't hit any note right during Live-performances.

  • Agree with Atremious.. @vguyver, BG is -huge.- Even here in the States where they're significantly less well known, they're still quite popular. I mean, they did the theme for the game Sacred 2, and the game gave them a full in-game "concert" cinematic. That's pretty classy.

  • @vashsfk

But you have to take into account that Sacred 2 is a German game. It has an English version as well. Nonetheless the in-game concert absolutely rocked.

  • Hahahah.Man. Blind Guardian not being Big? maybe not where you're from, these guys are HUGE in Europe.

  • @Atremious Yeah, exspecialy in Germany, land of Metal :)

  • Metal today is not metal anymore..... The real Metal has been ceased...miss 80s, 90s....when the real metal bands with guts and balls did exist.

  • I hate the fact I was born so late. All of my favorite bands started in the 80's and now probably only have a few more albums to go before retiring. I wish I could go back to the 90's and see BG in their golden days.

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 I have the same problem, but not because of when I was born. I just don't really find out about bands until after they've already peaked. But it's OK, because the songs are all recorded and will live forever thanks to digital technology. Blind Guardian will NEVER DIE!

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 youre forgetting something my friend... the golden days of blind guardian didnt stop, we still live in it :)

  • @feggman2 so true, saw them a couple months ago. They blew my brain out my ass.

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 Blind Guardian is still kick ass and running wild. \m/

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 Don't worry, now we have Dragonforce to take over their places!!!!

    /cruelsarcasm

I'm sorry, that was uncalled for, I do apologise.

  • @Skwigelf100 ouch!!!

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010

    Relax, buddy,

it is very possible u enjoy BG for many years yet. Even "the who" and "deep purple" still on tour (or making some shows). Blind Guardian can live easyly more 10 years!

  • Comment removed

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 what do you thing how old blind guardian is?^^(because feggman2 is right they are still in der golden days^^)

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 But when you was born 1950 you was now a old man or women!

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 we all do

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 All the more reason to learn an instrument, rock your hardest, and take their place as the epic Metal gods they are?

  • @OneLeggedPuppies2010 After 3 live concerts, i promise you hansi rocks the shit out of you till he dies. ;) Follow the will of the 4 :) and go to some concerts.

  • INTO THE STORM !!!!!!

  • oops sorry for the spelling mistakes...

  • I just love their live appearance, they alwyas seem naturally ans dont need a big show to be great.

  • Not a good frontman, but amazing voice

  • one word: AMAZING!!!!!!

If some1 doenst know, its about Morgoth's and Ungoliant's struggle for the silmarils.

  • Awesome!!!

  • PERFECT VOICE!!!

  • Oh, in terms of metal singers, he's not a power metal frontman, but Mats Leven has an amazing vocal style too; <3 his work with Yngwie, especially the live shows. He rocks the song Rising Force like I've never seen.

  • Northfulton, Hetfield? Really? I love me some old Metallica, but Hetfield is like amateur hour in terms of pure vocal talent. Try some Eric Adams, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, and company.. Four octave wonders get there. Hansi doesn't have quite as much range as some, but his singing style is quite epic, and suited to the music, and he's certainly as talented a singer as anyone I've heard.

  • Kai Hansen should be in that list for sure!

  • @VestedJester If you take Hansi's lowest note and highest note, it actually is four octaves. O_o

  • @Labestia14 man i nkow Barlow and his voice is amazing but Hansi has a great voice as well but in my opinion gamma ray sucks and iced earth deserve a place among them they reallly deserve a place.

  • @BL1NDGUARD1AN93 You are right, Barlow is also amazing. Gamma is a little lame imo ^^

  • @BL1NDGUARD1AN93 Barlow should do back ups for Demons and Wizards... that would be epic! :O

  • I love how this is shot- pro cameras, but also some handhelds from within the crowd- gives you the feeling of being there!

  • Well James Ronnie Dio , Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson are great Vocalists as well. But when we are talking about Power Metal Hansi is the best of the Best.I heard that there was somthing like a contests for the best Power metal band. The people vote Blind Guardian to be the 1st ,2nd was Helloween and 3rd Gamma Ray.I don't if this is rumour or truth.

  • Great three bands you mentioned. Try ICED EARTH and Matt Barlow's voice too.

  • Hansi is a fine singer . Probably some people think he can´t sing high because of he doesn´t have a clean voice , like André Matos perhaps. Anyway, Hansi's voice is very powerful indeed.

  • Before someone takes of naoaceitawhatever's comment - Hansi can for sure sing the high notes live. Sure he sometimes drops down an octave or sings counter melody, but his style of singing is much more abrasive and demanding than some of the more "clean" power vocalists' styles. Surely you cant expect him to keep it up night after night for months? And it gives their live shows a raw edge, suits the epic war-torn content of their music perfectly imho anyway.

  • best vocalists of all time

    1. Hansi Kursch

    2. Kai Hansen

    3. James Hetfield

    4. Serj Tankian

    5. Michael Kiske

  • @NorthFulton88

you forgot to put hansi in the top 5 twice

  • then who to get rid of? not Kai or James. michael is off the list and serj gets bumped down to 5

  • @NorthFulton88 heheh i say we make a top 6 then ;P

  • you forgot andreas hedlund....

  • Hansey is cool men))))

  • all hail HANSI!

  • kiske, hansen and kursch - the best voices in power metal.sorry deris, you need a better voice...

  • What about James Labrie, or Geoff Tate?

  • @darkpoet25 james labrie? ugh

he doesn't even sing power metal. neither geoff.

  • Now that I think about it, I'd have to agree with you. I just think that they have dynamic range. Are Helloween still together? I haven't heard much from them in a long time.

  • @darkpoet25 for sure helloween is still together. in which cave have you been since 16 years ago? hehe I mean, do you even know what's the current singer? I went to a Helloween concert in 2008(they released an album in 2007), and released a 25th anniversary album this year. In the end of the year they'll also release a new studio record.

  • @darkpoet25 who's the current singer* i'm sorry

  • hansen and kiske can sing the same notes that they sing in studio. Hansi, usually, can't.

  • James Labrie is a jerk, he obviously can't sing live. DT would be much better with a REAL vocalist.

  • @VorTexXHUN Of course he can sing live. "James Labrie hits the F# from 'Learning to Live' 26 times"

  • @ub3r2008 I doesn't change that his tonal characteristics suck. Even I can hit the high C when you step on my feet and still, I can't consider myself a vocalist. LaBrie should just kill himself (or simply leave), DT would flourish tenfold without him.

  • @VorTexXHUN Could you develop on why he sucks? I'm interested in your point of view. And in my opinion, DT has been getting worse and worse. Half of Systematic Chaos was garbage, and let's not even mention BC&SL. I can't believe a once-brilliant band like DT wrote that terrible record. I'm not really sure as to how the band is going to change with Mike gone, but I sure as hell hope they start writing better stuff, in the vein of Scenes from a Memory or Images and Words.

  • @lolpawnage He sucks balls cause he cannot sing in key live, and his voice has a thin, weak tone. The shame is that when they were auditioning for a new singer (after the first one left dunno his name, some kind of dominicci of what), they had the chance to listen to a buttload of people, and they chose that douche. As professional musicians, they should have had better ears. With a vocals like their friends have in Symphony X, they'd be rock solid.

  • @VorTexXHUN Labrie's voice before the whole food poisoning/vocal cord ripping incident was pretty damn great. The current Labrie, I have mixed feelings. Sometimes he sounds great, sometimes he sounds weak, indeed. I can see why having a better vocalist would make them better as a whole, but then again, James doesn't write a lot of the music and to be quite honest, I have more of a problem with the crap they've been composing lately than with the quality of the singing.

  • @lolpawnage Before the food poisoning he was OK. Hell, I even listened to "Awake" thousand times and I would say that his voice was an organic part of those songs, but he was a cathastrophic live singer that time too :)

On the topic of the new DT: I think Octavarium was a nice album (easy chill out music for wannabe prog fans, as I would descibe it), SC had two songs I could listen to (Forsaken, Dark Eternal Night), but I couldn't care less about their latest material nowdays.

  • @VorTexXHUN Eh, I've only seen (actually been to) one live DT concert, in 2005 and while the show itself was kickass, it's true that Labrie was mediocre. I... sort of liked Octavarium, mostly just Root of all Evil and Octavarium. I prefer the heavy metal DT to the proggy DT (even though I liked the old proggy DT), but even then I found most of SC to be a huge wreck (I only like ItPoE... I sort of like Forsaken and Ministry, but eh) and as I said, Black Clouds was a big piece of crap.

  • Yeah, I'll include those, but I'll also include ZP Theart, the singer from Rhapsody of Fire, and Tarja Turunen on the list of best power-metal singers. Not calling them better or worse.

  • have you ever checked out Jens Carlsson of Persuader and Savage Circus? thats a hell of a vocalist, especially in persuader. one of the best, too in my opinion, but very underrated

  • @semanray but kursch doesn't have the same range that hansen ans kiske have

  • I'm fortunate because i had a chance to see these guys live and i have to say... THEY WERE AWESOME!

  • @ortonki me too :D

  • the singer's badass

  • Comment removed

  • Rulaz..

  • Heil BG!!!

  • does anyone other than me appears to like the live version better than the studio record ? x_X

  • agreed, i only have the double live album but I still love them more than some other bands!!! yeah they are way better live!!!!

  • @feinster500gzucker

yeah...live it kicks some asses more =)

  • @feinster500gzucker Yes. Everyone who knows shit about music does.

  • @feinster500gzucker

I agree with you buddy... loving the audience singing along adds a little bit of extra "epic" to the chorus

  • @feinster500gzucker not than .. you had to say '' except '' .... and yes i also do

  • @feinster500gzucker the studio's are confined. Since its an enclosed space, there is a weird change in the sound that is subtle. Also live performences also benifit from the crowds positive support, dunno why but it gives good vibes.

  • @feinster500gzucker I honestly cannot decide whether I like the live versions better or not. I just listen to both and be happy.

  • @feinster500gzucker

    i think the same :P

  • @feinster500gzucker i think the most live versions are better

    than the studio records

  • @feinster500gzucker

Guardian's songs are almost always better live than the studio versions ! ;)

  • @feinster500gzucker <- braun oda weiß^^

  • it seems like metal bands are about the only ones who actually sound good live

  • really? how about jazz or opera? :D

  • @RisingSun6 they stink

  • @assbean182 That may be because most metal bands actually take it seriously and play music for music, unlike all these pop idols who only see music as a business.

  • @TheFourthDefender I don't think they all started off like that. Look at how rap and ipup has suffered in the last decade. It's really the suits who've managed to create that mindset. Between the Managers, media, and the oddball stars, it's hard to keep one's head straight. I'm kinda clag Bling Guardian isn't as huge as it should be, otherwise it may of lost that magical touch it has.

  • @assbean182 its because metal bands are the only ones who have talent. the others rely on studio magic to make themselves sound good.

  • @assbean182 Not all metal bands but i think you are right about the majority. Try elvenking for example.Studio versions are good but live versions is not the same. I dont want to disagree with you.Im just making it more...general. To sum up. I agree with you

  • @assbean182 I have to say. they are one of the few...also listen to kamelot. they sound great live too

  • @assbean182 most do dont listen to lordi live... they suck live just cuz of the singer

  • @assbean182

    Except Dragonforce

  • @munoski93 fuck dragonforce. they're the justin bieber of power metal

  • @assbean182 I don't know hopw can any one take for serious band like Dragonforce?!

  • @praetorian18 I dont understand... Bling guardian are my favourites... but whats the problem with dragonforce? their guitarist is awesome!

  • @assbean182

Dude you don't have a clue. DF brought metal back. Someone needs to take over when Metallica and Iron Maided are in nursing homes. And ZP is a much better singer than Bieber so please don't insult our intelligence. (owned)

  • @VaiTrooper Why EXACTLY do we need another sell-out metal band like Metallica to enter the scene? Iron Maiden is great, I'll give them that. But seriously. DragonForce has no diversity, they suck live most of the time, and they're sound is literally every stereotype they could found for power metal thrown into every single song they wrote.

  • @PieGangstah

You obviously haven't heard their new album Twilight Dementia, so I forgive you for that, but DragonForce have a very unique sound to them. If you listen to a wide variety of music like I do, you will find that DF's sound is incredibly original. They combine metal with techno and even rock balads. Do try to have an open mind musicaly pleeeease, the last thing the world needs is another person who thinks that a song is good because it's "catchy"

  • @VaiTrooper I HATE music for the sake of "catchy." And I do listen to a wide variety of music. Most of it, admittedly, in the broad category of metal, but still...Symphony X, BG, Finntroll, Hiedevolk, Equilibrium, Bloodbath, Skeletonwitch, Iron Maiden, Disturbed, SOAD, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and a lot of others...So no. I think I've broadened my base a bit. I just find DF to not do anything NEW.

  • @VaiTrooper Good point but why the hell are you talking about Dragonforce on Blind Guardian video?

  • @KibotVejn

I was replying to that faggot assbean about calling DF the Justin Biebers of heavy metal

  • @VaiTrooper Ok,sorry about that :)

  • @VaiTrooper DF have pretty good live performance and ZP is much better singer than that faggot bieber...Cheers.

  • @assbean182 Only after Guitar Hero 3 came out.

  • @assbean182 Live videos like this are edited. I'm not saying they don't sound good live, but I doubt the crowd heard the same version we're hearing here.

  • @assbean182 That's pure shit-talk.

    BG does sound great,bu
