I spoke to her majesty and the palace have confirmed that this, as off the point of adding in cream cheese, is now no longer a cucumber sandwhich, rather it is a cream cheese sandwhich complimented by both salt, peper and cucumber.
My mother used to drape a clean, damp, linen cloth over the sandwiches to keep them from drying out as she made them.We used to have cucumber and marmite, cucumber and paste (from tiny little jars) cucumber and cress sandwiches.
dantheman931 - you're absolutely right, but for the life of me, I can't remember commenting on this clip and have even less idea as to why I would do so in the first place.
Jeez, there really was no-one at home that night and absolutely nothing worth watching on TV!
Cucumber sandwiches????????????. I really need to get out more!
Traditionally the sandwiches are cut into triangles, not squares. If serving to guests from a plate with several on they should be served individually. If four are served they are usually presented on their 'backs', adjacent and in a line, and garnished with mustard cress and slices of cucumber, often scored at the rind. If two are served, then one should rest on and overlap the other in a pleasing fashion, garnished as per four.
My bad this is part two. Learned how to take dumbass captions off. Next time she might want to tell the hack camera guy/director to stop fucking talking during the take. "Cut...no keep going. Zoom out". Christ shut the fuck up amateur!
Yo, what I did,yo, was I took some "everything bread" you can get it a WalMarty.
I toasted the shit, then, I put some butter on it, right?, then I took the cucumber, and I peeled it with a peeler, then I sliced the shit thin, because that's an important part of a cucumber sandwich, slice it thin. Then I chopped up a marinated artichoke heart out the can and put it on there right?, then, I put some Everglades Seasoning and some red pepper flakes on it. That shit was for real.
I have made sandwiches out of all kinds of different things, but I didn't know there was an actual traditional thing called a cucumber sandwich until Simon Cowell mentioned it on Oprah, and I thought "What the shit is that?" So then I looked it up on the internet. I think I will make one and try it.

@StumpyHead the whole recipe is not anything of a traditional cucumber sandwish, forget about the fact that they should be triangles.

You really shouldn't use the words "shit" and "cucumber" in the same sentence, you really shouldn't.
