Okay, I'm going to sound completely insanely nubbish for asking this question, but how do you get the camara view to move around like that? All I've been able to do is get it to twist around and zoom in, but I can't get it to pan to a ground view like that.
I am using an X1900xt and an E6700 core 2. So you will be able to play at a very similiar graphic fidelity as me. Maybe with just shadows turned down. But the Nuke explosions will look the exact same, and isn't that what counts :P.
Its important to have a dual core cpu to play more than 1v1.

oh man my head, I spent the last few hours making a crap load of defences (about 52) and then even more nukes (I didn't count them because my head was hurting like crap then) and i fired them all...and when they hit the ground everything on the screen went white (exept for the bar) and then my PC crashed. MORAL OF THE STORY!!!: don't build more than 50 nukes or you might crash your PC.

I was getting about 40 fps, dropping to 20 fps with fraps. Thats on very highest settings on 1280x960. With this game on mega resolutions though, an 8800 would be nice.
Im REALLY hoping that my computer can run this close to max... We have Corsair ram, and I think its 2gb. So I should be good there. I dont think I have a Duo but... We built this computer ourselves and its ABOUT a year old. Not quite. The parts we have in it are still very decent, and I can run games like Steam Source games and Flight Simulator X and stuff all on ultra high. Do you think I can run this game at an enjoyable graphical level?
One thing you can't change is the 1000 units in battle, no matter what. And that requires huge processing power. Dual core is almost a must. This game is optimized for dual core AND quad core :D .
i guess you can, if you wonder what yer system is, Start/run/type "dxdiag". My computer cant run this cause i got lots of trash installed, i will format my comp then itll probably work

but its too slow. It has a nice 512 MB memory but the CPU is a bit slow. I replaced it with a 7900GS. (which sucks compared with the new 9 series)

Supreme commander is ONLY Dx9. Contrary to popular belief, the planned DX10 patch was cancelled permanently. There will never be DX10 in supcom.
