i tried that because killing floor wasn't installing. It didn't work. Any other ideas?

I'm a mac and I'm having the same problem with left 4 dead 1 and Portal 2 and so far nothing.

It's simple to fix. Just delete STEAM (back up first) and reinstall. Simply log in and go to: steampowered com / about and you'll see the bright green button to download STEAM. Works now just fine.
