It's too "blurry" to be recorded in a studio, unless they're using shitty recording gear, but we're talking Metallica so I don't think so... The vocals are exactly the same, he sounds EXACTLY the same... Also in some parts you can almost hear the orchestra really, really faint in the background... not the studio, the live show!

@WWFATTITUDEERAFAN i think the engineers used auto tune on 2:26 maybe james went out of tune on that part and they wanted to fix it.. and because this was recorded live and only happened once they have no choice but to use auto tune to keep him in tune.. and just so you know auto tune is mainly used to do adjustments.. instead of rerecording a whole vocal track some engineers tend to just use auto tune because its more practical and not as time consuming..
