@xelinfiltr8 > The flames were based with Codex Grey, then washed with Thraka Green. Re-layer the flame with Codex Grey, leaving the recesses green. Mix 1:1 Codex Grey & Dark Angels Green and highlight. Then pure Dark Angels Green. Then 1:1 Dark Angels Green and Chaos Black. Finish with pure Chaos black as a fine highlight on the tips. Remember to slightly water-down your paints, keep the layers thin, and work the darker colors towards the edge of the flame leaving the base of the flame lighter.
