  • craig ehlo's revenge, i got that music video. i know. weird.

  • Holy hell, it took forever to find this video! So worth it

  • How was this made?

  • Isn't gatorade just flavored water and salt?

  • OBI :)

  • how did they do this?

  • For all the Gatorade haters, why are you watching this commercial in the first place?

  • @FuturisticCC Was it just me, or did the song "All Star" by Smash Mouth play in a Gatorade commercial once?

  • @Haxoz it's a commercial not a documentary

  • gatorade*

  • My buddy, Andrew Stuart-Jones did the v/o for this spot. Nice job, Andy!

  • Just spent 30 minutes looking for this commercial, just wondering why you have "young" in the tags should be Montana or Clark. Anyways thanks for the upload, this is awesome!!!

  • I'm guessing Bill Bukner didn't have that winning formula.

  • best gatorade commercial of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why don't people understand that Gatorade is pretty much Koolaid mixed with salt?

  • Such a well made commercial.

  • Great commercial. The Jeter-Giambi play is rather insignificant in sport history, but imagine if Jordan had missed that shot against Craig Ehlo, and Montana had overthrown Dwight Clark. One can reasonably argue that these two plays alone made Jordan and Montana legends.

  • Finally been trying to look this up for the longest

  • 5 people were always picked last in gym class.

  • @MarcellusPinto 109 people don't realize it's just koolaid and salt.

  • lol i bet gatorade just gets a bottle of water and puts artificial flavoring in them

  • I wish there was a "making of" video for this one. I'm intrigued!

  • Yeah Cleveland wishes that's what happens...Now they need one where Lebron announces he's coming back instead of going to Miami!

  • Greatest commercial of all time

  • ahahhaha cleveland ahahahahha

  • obi obidake - the name of the dude in the commercial

  • 1989...game 5 vs. Cavaliers...what was to become known as "The Shot"...Michael Jordan's first buzzer beater and game and championship winner that would mark the beginning of the Bulls dynasty.

  • Comment removed

  • It's just sugarwater...Jesus Christ, come on.

  • @WTF1920 To be more accurate, its just salt water with sugar added.

    Electrolytes = salt

    Its the same thing!

  • @WTF1920 ya but its debut when florida used it they won the bcs championship and it took off from there

  • The first 5 seconds of that are the best

  • Agreed: Greatest Gatorade commercial ever!

  • My favorite gatorade commercial of all time.

  • Amazing!

The Michael Jordan clip was obvious that it was computer generated.

    Still pretty cool though...

  • The 1st outcomes are the most godly fakes I have ever seen, especially for a mere commercial!!!

  • Gatoraid?

  • Mmm, salted lemonade.

    This crap is bullshit.

  • fucking hard to find man

  • Jeez, took forever to find this

  • yea for meh 2 ive been lookin for this for a while

  • BULLS WIN BULLS WIN YEAH!!!

  • thank god finally found this commerical

  • @hahalookitsmars ive been looking for it so long lol i saw it once and wanted to see it so bad

  • @hahalookitsmars Lmao bro i swear to god i was looking for this shit for a half and hour and when i found it i said the same. xD

  • @hahalookitsmars lmao i was looking 4 it forever too

  • One of the best commercials I've seen

  • great commercial

  • can someone tell me what happened here? Im an aussie.

In those three events, which were the actual outcomes? Did Jordan really score or miss? Did that dude really get out or safe?

  • The first half of the commercial was faked-the second half was real.

  • the outcomes at the end are the real ones, jordan scored, clark caught the TD, and jeter got the guy at home

  • thanks mate.

any idea how they would get the other ones?

  • LOTS OF CGI and yes, some actors were used for layering on top of the actual original video.

example, the guy who is supposed to portray craig ehlo who is defending michael jordan.

other is a couple of fans they had to use to recreate the joe montana to dwight clark play (The Catch).

  • thanks mate. thats helpful :)

  • jordan made it the dude was out and he caught it

  • Thanks...

  • @Peeto87 Jordan did score in 1989, it was his first buzzer beater that allowed him and his team to win a game and a championship. This is the first famous shot of Michael. It is known as "The Shot".

  • @WorldOfSnakes Wrong. They didn't win the championship until the 90'-91' season, two years after this. This was to beat Cleveland in the first round of the '89 playoffs. I believe they eventually lost to the Pistons this year.

  • @hogie1525 Whatever! I prefer to remember a win:)

  • You know what's funny? Giambi really WAS safe on that play.

  • no he wasn't

  • wheres the one with the guy who's like "and my body began to SHUT DOWN"

  • you missplelled gatorade in the title

  • thats the greatest commercial for gatorade

  • Cool!

  • nice commercial

  • Not mockin' Gatorade or anything, but I heard that they put sugar in it to help make you drink it more. That true?

  • Erm well if they make a drink with the intent of making millions then odds are they're gonna put something in it to encourage the public to drink it. It's not like many people are gonna know the difference chemically between say, Gatorade and Powerade, so they just have to make it taste better and market it better.

  • Not true actually:

Gatorade is made by the Quaker Oats Co, a subdivision of PepsiCo; while Powerade is made by CocaCola co.

  • then explain y they got the same logo

  • ummm...your wrong

  • o sorry i was thinkin of another drink but i cant think of the name now

  • now i remember propel

  • i think they used the same crowd for each one, especially the m.j. one.

  • what they don't tell you is if you don't burn off your gatorade calories and you keep drinking it you eventually get fat

  • well for one, u wouldnt be using gatorade normally, u would be using it while exercising. secondly, a normal sized bottle of gatorade only contains 125 calories, and thats not so much. plus, the purpose of gatorade is to rehydrate, and rehydrating takes water, and water contains no calories.

    but great commercial, anyway.

  • That's different now

  • how

    the

    hell

    do they do that????

    someone please tell me

  • laptops they r a company called element 79 google them

  • Soundstages and body doubles-hardly any of that is computer-generated.

  • Do you guys that say it's body doubles, reenacted, etc., have a source? I'd like to know more about the making of this ad.

  • me too

  • how

    the

    hell

    do they do that????

    someone please tell me

  • Unbelievable ad, its unbelieveable that we have the technology to do that!

  • They didn't do it with technology; they used actual people for most of it.

  • amazing video been looking for this all over the net surprise there isn't more hits for this

  • Damn. this is a sick commercial. Gatorade went through so much damn trouble to make this. thanx for postin this ive been lookin for it.
