The position of a dog's tail is very important. A high tail and stiff posture while wagging is an indicator of dominance/aggression. Flattened ears and growling or baring teeth is also an indicator of aggression. The simple fact that the average person is unable to determine this very blatant body language is the reason why a lot of people are bitten.
When a dog is interested in you or happy their tail will almost always be straight with their body (varying by tiny degrees of course)
The dog in this video is not simply being dominant, it is being aggressive. To make matters worse that aggression is being encouraged by the owner. That's poor ownership, poor training and poor socialization. That coupled with the fact that it has no characteristics that associate it with one breed indicates that it's either a poorly bred dog this person purchased from a questionable backyard breeder or it is a shelter dog from unknown origins.

Temperament, thresholds to stimulus, drives and dominant breed characteristics are all set by genetics, so what matters first and foremost is the breeding behind the dog, an understanding of the functional purpose of the dog that will shape the way the adult dog thinks & behaves, and the ability to handle it. You can tell the dog is (in a weird way trained to do that!) The owner and the dog have a bond and that's how they do it lol ... you can see hes acting aggressive but you can clearly see his tail is wagging.

@tehbot Even if the dog's tail is wagging dont mean that the dog is happy. Dogs wag their tails as warning when they are angry. So even if a dog is wagging its tail doesnt mean that it is a happy dog

The position of a dog's tail is very important. A high tail and stiff posture while wagging is an indicator of dominance/aggression. Flattened ears and growling or baring teeth is also an indicator of aggression. The simple fact that the average person is unable to determine this very blatant body language is the reason why a lot of people are bitten.
When a dog is interested in you or happy their tail will almost always be straight with their body (varying by tiny degrees of course)

The dog in this video is not simply being dominant, it is being aggressive. To make matters worse that aggression is being encouraged by the owner. That's poor ownership, poor training and poor socialization. That coupled with the fact that it has no characteristics that associate it with one breed indicates that it's either a poorly bred dog this person purchased from a questionable backyard breeder or it is a shelter dog from unknown origins.

Growling is one thing. Growling combined with a high tail and stiff posture is an indicator of aggression and in some cases a dog that has been poorly trained and had limited socialization.
I never said any of these dogs should be euthanized so don't put words in my mouth.
I'm confident in my assessment as making these assessments has been apart of my job for years. I wouldn't be where I am today if I wasn't able to do that. So please do not presume to tell me what I do and don't know

I'm a LVT specializing in animal behavior. I'm a certified K9 training. At any given time I have up to 10 dogs in my property, all of which were trained by my team and I. The majority of which have been cgc certified. I also operate a non profit rescue organization that specializes in rescues, rehabilitating (as well as educating people about) "dangerous" dog breeds.
So please further educate me since your knowledge is clearly superior.

You clearly do not grasp the concept of genetics. It is NEVER solely about how you raise and socialize a dog, although that is a LARGE part of it. You simply cannot train genetics out of any animal. That is why I only support reputable breeders who take breed stability seriously and only breed genetically stable dogs. I simply cannot train aggression out of a dog. I literally grind my teeth everytime someone foolishly asserts "the only thing that matters is training and socialization"

Temperament, thresholds to stimulus, drives and dominant breed characteristics are all set by genetics, so what matters first and foremost is the breeding behind the dog, an understanding of the functional purpose of the dog that will shape the way the adult dog thinks & behaves, and the ability to handle it. What matters second is proper training, socialization and a stimulating home environment.

So along with failing to grasp genetics you lack reading comprehension. I never said dogs can not be rehabilitated THAT'S WHAT I DO FOR A LIVING for crying out loud. I said asserting the only thing that matters is training and socialization is a logical fallacy. Genetics is always and will always be the most important thing. After that comes training and socialization.Any person with enough intelligence and drive can eventually condition a dog to respond to a stimuli in a certain manner

But that doesn't mean it's genetics haven't shaped it's temperament, breed characteristics, threshold to stimuli, etc.
If genetics didn't play a key roll jack russels wouldn't chase, labs wouldn't retrieve and beagles wouldn't hunt.

I would also like to point out dangerous is in " " because breeds like GSD, Pits, Boxers Rotts, Mastiffs, Dobes, etc are though by the mainstream public to be dangerous breeds hence the reason why we seek to rescue and rehabilitate them as well as educate the public on proper breeding/buying practices as well as proper dog ownership.

This dog is a ticking time bomb due to it's poor breeding and lack of responsible ownership. The worst part is, despite all that, morons continue to support backyard breeding scum and the idiots who purchase their puts. They also advocate improper ownership(as seen in this video)
It's sad because it's a good looking dog and probably super smart but no one will ever see it's full potential.
