  • good speakers bad acting

  • I stick with Logitech Z-5500 Z5500 Satellite Speaker way better

  • @reyquezada They are cheaper, that's all.

Your Z5500 will NEVER sound better, sorry.

  • @reyquezada :Satellites speakers are just crap man, and so is Logitech open your ears! :)

  • @reyquezada ha did you really say this? a crappy $300 5.1 logitech system sounds better than a klipsch reference series? surely you're kidding

  • @johnnydramafia YES YES YES I DID SAY THAT I have both and i fund that LOGITECH quality IS WAY BETTER

  • @reyquezada ha youre trolling. logitech 5.1 computer speakers quality is nowhere close to Klipsch reference quality. watched your z5500 video... would love to see how you had huge klipsch reference speakers setup around your 17 inch computer monitor.

  • @johnnydramafia well the klipsch reference speakers are on mine living room and I have Logitech for mine computer and what I found out was that the sound LOGITECH is crispy better quality, the klipsch reference speakers is loud but no better quality than LOGITECH.

  • the best customer service ,i ve bought tons of products from them .to name few my onkyo receiver sr 876,pioneer dvd receiver avh p5700 bose home theatre speaker system ,ipod and they got great prices too..and trust me they r very knowledgeable

  • I don't care about these speakers. I just needed to hear how the heck "Klipsch" is pronounced. That way I look less stupid whilst shopping for headphones.

  • Further, his claim you can bi-amp with a 7.1 AVR receiver is wrong, you can not! True bi-amping requires an external crossover, two discrete amps and the by-passing of any internal crossover in the loudspeaker itself. With the Klipsh shown here, you can simply bi-wire the loudspeakers which can effectively lower the cable resistance between the amp and loudspeaker. The sound of the speaker remains the same.

  • These two don’t know what they’re talking about. They refer of the speakers “efficiency”, but they would be more accurate to refer to the speaker’s sensitivity in this context. And as far as “Dynamic Range” is concerned, it does not apply to loudspeakers, as they generate no noise of their own, dynamic range applies to amplifiers and source components.

  • mh ok you guys call sex "listen to jazz music". you strange bastards^^

  • these presenters are very good...

  • I currently have a M&K left, right, center speaker setup, I have been looking at the klipsch reference RB-41 II, are they good speakers to use for surround purposes?

  • @LBGreenthumb

Assuming they are the right size and shape for your room, then yes. Sonically they would be great surround speakers.

Need a pair? We've got 'em at Crutchfield with free shipping right now.

  • That guy is weird looking.

  • yeah notice when you cup your hands to your mouth it sounds all wrong and unnatural like the PA at a football game.

  • they could have picked more "interesting" ppl to talk about the product. this shit put me to sleep!!!

  • Bad analogy with the cupped hands thing.

A horn controls directivity but it is an acoustic transformer that matches the speaker cone to the impedance of the air around it.

  • I still rather The Heritage versions of Klipsch.....Sounds like live music..my opinion. and yes, have owned them for many yrs and they kick ass

  • crutchfield sell s KLIPSCH what does that tell ya mid fi ????

  • Nice to see, and hear people who are knowledgeable about speakers...my next purchase will be Klipsch speakers.Thanks.

  • NandoGdog,

I own a pair of RB-81's and I love them. As for their build quality, I have a story for you.

I didn't put the little rubber feet on the bottom of the speakers, and after a week one of my them fell off my dresser to the concrete floor from a height of just under 3 feet.

I picked the it up, put the grill back on, reconnected the speaker wire, attached the rubber feet, and turned them on. They play today just as perfectly as they did brand new.

  • Awfully expensive for bookshelves that are made in china. I was extremely dissapointed when I heard that Klipsch moved operations to china (with the exception of the larger reference series those are still made in Hope AR). I guess my money will now be spent on Paradigm.

  • isn't paradigm canadian though?

  • Yes Paradigm is Canadian but they have excellent reviews and are very well built. My comment regarding Klipsch now being made in China was not meant to knock the quality of the speakers but rather the fact that Klipsch chose to move manufacturing overseas and put Americans out of work. It's a shame that Klipsch felt it was necessary to offshore manufacturing to increase profits at the expense of American's jobs.

  • Paradigm is good, I also really like PSB. I agree about Klipsch, they do make some good products, but in general the price has gone up and up and the quality has gone down considerably. They aren't exactly passing the benefits of cheaper production on to the customer. A lot of hi-fi makers are hurting, adcom and nht come to mind. There is so much used gear out there at rock bottom prices, and it's so easy to find online. Why buy new?

  • Does it hurt your pride to buy something made in Canaduh or something?

  • no, dummy. I'm the one who said I like paradigm and psb. my point was, how is buying from canada any better than buying from china? he said he was worried about americans being put out of work.

  • i cant get over the guys voice soo damn mono tone and the woman and man look like they know really nothing about the speakers just reading from a teleprompter

Sorry the videos style was distracting. For what its worth, Chris and Steve are quite knowledgeable. Chris is an expert writer, and Steves a long-time Crutchfield veteran and serious audiophile. He can probably answer any A/V question I have while hes talking in his sleep and dreaming of high-end AV gear.

If youre interested in the Klipsch speakers, but need to connect with someone more personally than with a video, try giving us a call.

    Thanks

  • oh dont get me wrong i watched the whole thing just a bit distracting, nice to see people that know what there talking about and its one of the great reviews looking into them now actually :)

  • Next to chris is RS-42 (surround dipole) .The center speaker is RC-10 and the other is RB-61. Forgot to mention the inverted dust-cap and cerametallic cones instead of paper cones. Tractrix horn tweeters and a robust cross-over makes it a warranty for life.

I've installed almost all the models of klipsch for the past 10yrs . i like the magnetic grill.

Only problem is you 'll not be able appreciate any other brand after you hear them.

  • I think it's one of the smaller center speaker models.

  • wow that center speaker looks extremely small

  • that what she said
