  • I'll name that one dinner, that one to the left Thanksgiving, and that big one there...deep fried.

  • Smart turkey :)

  • So cute!

  • NO because these guys are wild they are more smarter then regular turkeys...

  • are they good to eat? at work we have seen groups of 8 to 10 turkey every day, every time its a different group because around the area there's 2 types of turkeys, short legs and long leg, the long legs looks exactly like these in the video.

  • Can you shoot them and eat em?

  • This definitely isn't "London In The Rain". What a shame!

  • pull out the 12 gauge and shoot that motherfucker!

  • haha! So cute! :)

  • ALL MOTHER FUCKER !

  • I would have snached one for dinner : )

  • those things i heard when i was little was a lie T_T i heard that they drown themselves while in the rain D:<!

  • I kept the camera rolling, waiting for that, but it never happened!

  • lol at first i thought the turkeys were clucking or whatever with the music

  • Oh, that would have been even better! I'll have to do another...

  • butts!

  • i wanted to see them drown too :[.

not die though, just to c if it was true

  • Not quite drown then, just choke a little? Just for the sake of science... ;^)

  • Lol, okay. I was waiting to see if any of them would drown themselves in the rain. I guess it's not true that they're that stupid.

  • I've heard that too, but at least on this occasion none of them did that. Of course, who knows if what they did once they went further down the road ;^)

  • I've heard that turkey actually are pretty smart, a lot smarter than people think they are. hehe :)

  • love the shot with the double yellow line

they sound a lot like dogs

I have a bunch on my place

including a perpetually spreading horny male

  • They must be British turkeys, as they're walking on the wrong side of that line.

  • theyre yelling

    "i has meats"

    its the own me song

  • Plenty of meat on those birds!

  • Turkeys have nothing on chickens!

  • Nothing but lots of juicy meat. Yum!

  • I feel the possibility for a new phrase to be coined...."as noisey as a turkey in the rain"..who know

  • I suspect they'd be just as noisy if weren't raining, but it is a descriptive catch phrase. Thanks!

  • I've never seen a bunch of turkeys so noisy, but should I regard that Honda advertisement as part of this company of wet turkeys?

  • What I was really hoping for was a Foster Farms ad. Yes, any interpretation of the turkeys you care to add (the presidential campaign, youtube, etc.) is perfectly fitting and welcome.

  • i love you, kenrg. did i ever say this in public before? man, you rock! i want your babies! :)

  • Thank you very much - but you can't have my babies ;^)

  • I can dream! ;-)

  • so u were travelling by car with your family and then someone turned you guys into turkeys and it forced you all to continue your journey by walking. You all seemed very annoyed by this. My question is was it renettos revenge? Was it a lightning bolt or what happened?

  • Well, you figured what happened pretty accurately. I don't think Renetto did it to us, though. He's not quite that powerful. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with some of my political videos.

  • so u were travelling by car with your family and then someone turned you guys into turkeys and it forced you all to continue your journey by walking. You all seemed very annoyed by this. My question is was it renettos revenge? Was it a lightning bolt or what happened?

  • This made me hungry.

    Is that wrong?

  • If eating turkeys is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

  • Either way, I just wanna be fed.

  • I'm glad to see that none of the turkeys became roadkill!

  • At least, not while the camera was running...

  • ... or old footage that I'm cleaning off my hard drive...?

  • Lunch!

  • Did you bring the sweet potatoes?

  • very much like the rain and the turkeys - that shoot must have cost you quite a bit! 5 stars :)

  • Well, it did make me late for lunch. Does that count as costing a lot?

  • Poor birdees, not much meat on them either! Loved seeing them run off down the road, brilliant!:)

  • Not much meat? Come on, we could a feed about twenty from each of those birds ;^)

  • Actually, they are probably taller than our turkeys having looked at them again!:)

  • I know, it was cute! :)

  • I hope they taste better than they sound.

  • I'm counting on it, yum!

  • They look just like the ones on my whiskey bottle! Love it.

  • I asked them if they could pour me a shot, but they pretended not to know what I meant.

  • Thanks for showing this. We don't come across them here in Europe . How on earth do they survive? They don't seem very wild or ferocious. Do they taste good ?

  • I hear that the wild ones are yummy, but most of the turkey I've eaten has been farm raised. Not ferocious, but not very nice either. I guess they survive on small bugs and worms and plants they find around the woods!

  • They''re as stupid as humans. Near the end, they started running down the road...on the wrong side of the road, just like joggers and cyclists.

  • Are they as stupid as us, or are we as stupid as them? This is the riddle of the ages.

  • O_o ken.... truly... urm... ODD?

  • Yeah, I know. I actually shot this in January, and my wife keeps asking, "Have you edited the turkeys yet?" So, this one is for her.

  • They're living dangerous.. but at least we now know why the Turkey DIDN't cross the road!! He ran along in the middle of it.. :)

  • Just crossed part way to peck at my tires, then went on looking for something more delicious.

  • i was in a bad mood and that made me feel a hell of alot better. put a smile on my face :D

  • Glad I could help!

  • I think they'll look much better when cooked. LOL :)

  • They don't make so much noise after they're cooked too.

  • Yeah, exactly!

  • I totally agree!

  • these are the ugliest birds i ever saw! and i saw dozens of freaky birds in my life! i mean, i live in berlin..

  • Ugly, maybe, but quite tasty!

  • I got some turkey footage too..... but where ???

  • Some might say that all my vids are turkey footage... but thanks for stopping by!

  • Did someone say, TURKEY DINNER?

    No?

  • Oh yeah! I'm on my way to Home Depot to pick up that extra large smoker now...

  • Seeing these creatures up close makes me SO realize they were descendants of the dinosaurs. So yeah, I'm pulling Jurasic park away from this video.

It must be the wild turkey. :)

  • I think I did hear something like that, that big birds are the closest living relatives to certain dinosaurs (not the lizards, like we usually assume). I don't know. I need more wild turkey...

  • this was so funny and sad at the same time. i suppose you couldn't have played turkey in the straw?

  • Only if I can find a royalty-free version of the song... It was quite funny and unreal to have them come out of nowhere, boss us off the road then march down the the road looking for another car to terrorize.

  • yes please make a version with the turkey in the straw piece!

  • best song ever

  • Thanksgiving has come a little early at the Kenrg house this year... I hope you next video is showing you carve the suckers up with a little stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy on the side...

  • We'll be putting them on the grill with a little cranberry-chipotle glaze...

  • I could use some Wild Turkey.

  • I was about to pour myself a little Maker's Mark - will that do for you?

  • Make the first one a double no ice. after that, we'll see.

  • I like your style. They put enough water in it at the distillery.

  • gotta love the wildlife videos!

  • Especially when you're just trying to drive up the road and you're forced to pull over because of turkeys all over the road. If I'd been out looking for turkeys, this wouldn't have been so interesting.

  • Does that music sound like "Up On the Rooftop" or is it just me?

  • You're the second to mention it. My wife thought it sounded like something else too. I'm not responsible, talk to Kevin MacLeod about it ;^)

  • all that comes to mind while watching this is "woop woop"

  • Gobble gobble!

  • Nice little Nat Geo moment! But "Up on the Rooftop" ???

  • Well, it's not quite an African safari, but then, it's only a minute or so too. Of course, if National Geographic wants to buy the footage from me...

  • Thirteen wild turkeys are regular visitors to our backyard this year. Sometimes 3 to 5 deer are out there at the same time!

  • Incredible! The deer don't usually come around here till later at night, so I'm never able to get any footage of them. I guess I need to invest in some night-shooting gear, then I can get the deer, the raccoons, the coyotes, the skunks, ... I just don't want to come face to face with another mountain lion. Them, I avoid.

  • When are we going to get the next violin project video? :)

  • My violin is still in the shop :(

Ken, I came face to face with a mountain lion last fall. My neighbor and I were out walking.

    Eeeeek!

  • oops! I was logged in on hubby's computer LOL

  • I have a feeling those Turkeys think they are Road Runners. Wait...make the Street Walkers. Doh....I give up :-)

  • Road runners, street walkers, either way, this is the type of gang activity we have to put up with here in the mountains ;^)

  • meep meep

where is wylie cyote (how do you spell cyotee?)

  • They are beautiful creatures and should not be looked on as something to eat! It made me chilly with all that rain coming down. Please, just shoot them with your camera!

Eat some brussel sprouts for dinner! (with a side of chick peas and beans for protein)

  • Well, cameras are all that I ever shoot with. Actually, these are wild animals, and so are not really something to eat. And they were huge too, really beautiful. Did you catch the one with the blue shade to his face?

  • wow, what beautiful animals and such an interesting sound they make! awesome vid, thnx for sharing

  • Thanks! It was just so weird to see them heading down the road like that. We had to pull over and take their pictures.

  • Touching.

"Wild Turkeys in the rain" sounds like a early 90s Bon Jovi song.

  • ROFLMAO - I can hear it now...

  • i only stepped outside to see the turkeys in the rain

i heard you making patters ryme

    (planet eath duran duran)

  • thats great perfect music too

fatten one up for me i'll have it on 4th july when i come over :-)

  • I know I'm just being sick, but I can't look at these guys without asking myself, "Roasted or barbequed?" If you're coming on July 4, it will definitely be barbeque.

  • ahh barbeque it is then

hmmm what sort of sauce or relish ????

  • I'll have to think about that... I've got a few months to come up with some sort of cranberry-pepper glaze...

  • this video makes me think of sargent York (Gary Cooper) i can see him now wetting the site on his rifel

  • I used to have a pet turkey called hector. Things were great til he started laying eggs... then he became hectreen! Poor thing bailed our of a lorry heading for the turkey farm, he lived happily with us for 8 years!!! Thanks for reminding me kenrg

  • How funny! I wouldn't think they'd make great pets, but one with enough character to escape from the truck to the farm might make me change my mind. Thanks!

  • Now that is a video right up Pappy's alley!

  • They have the prettiest feathers... besides maybe pheasants ;)

  • Yes I have harvest 8 with archery tackle in past years and have one flying in my living room.... Their plumage is fantastic.. dry

  • Good huntin' eh? But all I had to shoot them with was a video camera.

  • I have been getting ready to film some here near the house and you BEAT me! LOL to no small shagrin I might say.....

  • exceptionally good footage considering their basic recluse nature....

  • first nalt's with any Emu, now we have you with wild turkeys, what the heck is going on?

  • Well, I swear, this video of turkeys squaking in the rain is NOT a commentary on the presidential elections. Really. It's just some stuff I shot with my wife and she wanted to see it posted.

  • Those are some soggy turkeys, man. Have they been pecking at Randomwriting's crash victem, perchance? ;)

  • Soggy and Angry turkeys. I'd heard that turkeys are so dumb that they'll look up at the rain with their mouths open and drown. Didn't happen this day though.

  • I've heard that too! I've never really believed it though.

  • Guess they think they are safe now, that we will not eat them!!

  • They do look delicious, don't they?
