  • this is fucking stupid! why cant people just learn guitar the right way.. not the poser way..

  • @Casebomb what the hell is the ''poser'' way?

  • @TheOpethOfMastodon sorry. i dont know why i posted that. it was for the add before this video. still i dont know why i was on this video.

  • @Casebomb lol,alrite

  • nice one

  • For all its simplicity, this video is actually a huge help- thanks.

  • good job. thank you. very easy and very nice :)

  • these ads are necessary but annoying

  • hey i have a question. when you are going arpeggio but you want to play with your pick, how do you play it? I tried to go alternate picking, but way too many mistakes. Do I need to just practice the heck out of it or go with some difference picking pattern? for example, you wanna play the strings 6-32-31-23-1231 and then 6. it's really hard to accurately hit the 6th string because when you're playing the bass not the second time, it's an up-picking. I wonder how others do it.

  • man, thanks for your picking lessons. i have been seriously playing guitar for about a month now(ive been picking it up, learning a bfew chords and putting it back down for a few years now) but anyway i have an acoustic so i fingerpick alot and am pretty good at it, but im terrible with a flatpick. your techniques have really helped me out alot.

  • what is that object at the top of your sound hole?

  • @gootcy this is the pickup volume control, it's a L.R. Baggs model.

  • @stringcordeta o.k. thank you what L.R. Baggs model is that ? I've seen different ones but not one like that

  • @gootcy It's call Dual Resource, I buyed it some years ago, maybe they changed that model.

    Cheers

  • thanks

  • Super-Clear examples. Very instructive for the beginners like me. Great work! Thanks a lot! :-)

  • I've been playing guitar for 50 years and I still can't flat-pick worth a crap.

  • Very informative! I've only been back into playing about 3 weeks now and need all the info and tips I can get. Much appreciated!

  • Hmm. I think the very first lesson on flatpicking should be on how to hold the plectrum, and from which part of the hand/arm should the motion come from. Have you anything for me sir?

  • This video is about the alternating down-up motion of the pick but you are right, I have no videos about how to hold the plectrum, maybe in the future? I'll try...

    Thanks for your observation.

  • @enduggy I know you posted this 2 years ago but what the hell ill answer you any way, this guy does an excellent 3 part lesson on right hand mechanics, good for beginners or experienced hand looking to brush up on technique... his youtube name is adamschlenker
