For whatever reason, being a truck driver (Lori Driver) I never heard her on Satelite radio, which is what I listen to most on the road. I heard all the horror stories,once she died, and decided to take a look for myself. I was blown away, when I heard some songs here on YouTube. She was so awesome, and nobody cared to mention that on TV. Numerous awards, and 5 Grammy's. Well deserved.

Since this is not a hopeless situation which always leads to an early grave and since she did go to a few rehab centers, people hoped that she will fight her addiction and get well but then she died... hence the surprise.
