Just to set things straight here. Chevy, Pontiac and Holden are all owned my GM. The original idea for the GTO came from the Holden Monaro. Vauxhall, Chevy and Pontiac just put their badges on it. It is NOT British, it is NOT American, it is 100% Australian.

@goodride2004 ....yes it is the same car. it is made in victoria (AUS) and shipped off to the US under the ponitac badge, if you really want to be correct it would be- the pontiac is the LHD version

@deloreangtr1 Ok now get a plane come to South Australia you will find a suburb called Elizabeth ask a local shop were is Holdens they will tell you. Then when your at the main gates ask the gaurd to take you for a look in the 2nd warehouse on the right. You will see a production car line with all LHD G8's that go to the States. They have the bages and everything on them,go have a look i know iv been there and seen with my own eyes

@Timbo051977 the european cars are more expensive because while being as fast as a monaro they have tv's, extra comfy seats, extra noise blocking, more complicated traction control systems, better interiors and they have the fact that they arent vauxhalls XD
