  • It is not true that Swedish law about prostitution got away the trafficking about slave prostitution, because this one is made into secret places where customers pay so much to stay there. Prohibition is the water of Mafia fish, it is better to avoid it where it is possible as prostitution among adult and consentient people. For my research, prostitution must be legal for the European Convention on Human Rights.

  • I repeat - Pye Jacobsson IS a feminist,,she admited it by herself in many interwiev to swedish massmedia

  • The whole video is a case of the straw man fallacy.

  • the great thing about strawmen is that those who feel their view is being misrepresented can actually state what the problem is. so far you havent done that.

waiting for an invitation or something?

  • This is an excellent video. The retrograde step of criminalising the clients of sex workers amounts to a lazy policing method by a bedroom police. Concentrate on the Garry Glitters of this world instead of consenting adults having sex. The politicans in Sweden which created this law are scum.

  • It is time to enforce the swedish prostitution laws world-wide. (alternative would be the irish laws).

The most feminists are for legalization of sex work.Exception is Alice Schwarzer. We should enforce the position of Alice Schwarzer world-wide.

  • In the USA the criminalization of prostitution is totally based on religion. With Sweden, Norway, and Iceland its a whole new ball of wax: radical feminism. What amuses me about such feminists is their man-hating rhetoric while trying to be the sex police for their male-dominated societies. Their target: the sex workers. This is ridiculous.

  • @hectorbolshevik It is not true feminism. True feminism is matriarchal feminism. The "feminism" you speak of came from patriarchal feminism which is just basically male entitlement and male superiority acting under the guise of feminism. Patriarchy is about controlling womyn's bodies for men's reproductive benefit, hence why sexual violence against womyn is so pervasive, rape victim blame, street harassment being legal even do it leads to real harms mostly to womyn, sexual harassment being

  • @HappyHooker83: You raise some very interesting points, but I'd rather not take up room on this video. I'll send you a private message with my reply. Cheers.

  • @hectorbolshevik only a civil matter while the law basically criminalizes a womyn's morality - just like Sharia Law under the Taliban - which basically tells her, "How dare you sell your body for sexual services when you should be making it free and available on demand on men's terms. All these double standards held against womyn - rape victim blame against womyn, womyn being called sluts while men get called studs and all these other excuses which blames womyn's morals for men's behaviour

  • @hectorbolshevik is all about men feeling entitled to our bodies in that they feel that they shouldn't have to get out consent or pay for it in order to access the pussy. See, I see past the smoke screens and I see the shit for what it is. Look past the verbage, read between the lines and you will see what I see. That is why even in the pro sex movement - now to be fair the misogynist on the anti-sex worker side are all about controlling womyn's bodies using patriarchal notions that we can't

  • @HappyHooker83 you are dumb! men neither boys are entitled to their own bodies neither in the workforce or in the Circumsision culture we live under. But you probably that MGM exist?

  • @IbnNero How many of ya'll atre getting raped or abused? Fact is, men have 10% to 15% more body weight than womyn, so get the fuck outta here with that. It's a fact that the patriarchy is aimed at oppressing us. Yes, it can oppress men who express the "feminine" ie gay or want to wear dresses ie conform to gender norm female ways of dress, but how the fuck is enabling rape victim blame so that you can have access to unconsenting womyn's bodies oppression? Fact is, most tricks want SUBMISSIVE

  • @IbnNero womyn. That's why you tricks shouldn't be in the movement. Not only is it a labor issue, but the fact is with most of you all arguing that we need to decriminalize it to "avert ie stop rape", that's why it's also a womyn's rights issue and not a rapists banner's issue as you want to make it become!

Bitch, femail genital mutilation is when, okay, how would you like it if someone chopped off your dick? Or clit IS a mini dick. That is what happens in femail clitoral mutilation. In our

  • @IbnNero rape minded culture, it is supposed to be bad form for the womyn to want to cut her rapist attacker's dick off (but god forbid, she should suffer the fault and be blamed if SHE gets attacked for what she wore for her getting attacked). So you can't compare the femail clitoral mutilation to merely cutting off EXCESSIVE SKIN since cutting off my clit is the equivalent/ the same to cutting off YOUR DICK! Dumbass, pick up a biology book, stupidass!

  • @hectorbolshevik nor should be allowed to make decisions about our own bodies - but I find that the pro sex worker side "males" tend to feel an entitlement to our bodies in that their attitudes towards us, the whore virgin complex dynamic is still there but they act as if they promote sex worker's rights while saying that they are for it because "It's a man's need to spread his seed" while not seeing it for what it is which is a womyn's rights issues because after all we are the ones who go to

  • @hectorbolshevik jail or prison for being "unrespectable", "immoral" womyn (sounds a bit like the reformatories. I am saying this to say that i don't like or appreciate you knocking feminism, esp. radical fake feminism (I consider myself a rad feminist because it is radical to think that womyn and sex workers should have free agency over our bodies, which is what the patriarchy in all it's forms are opposed to) or religion when the real problem is the patriarchy and men who feel entitled to

  • @hectorbolshevik disrespect womyn because we are different, whether it's expressed through trying to control our bodies (anti-sex workers) or feeling entitled to our bodies because of your so called manly desire to spread your seed (pro sex worker male "activist). After all, men were the ones who created the laws. I don't appreciate guys trying to create division between womyn, which is why I feel men esp. tricks should stay out of all womyn's issues unless they have a grasp of what is going on

  • @hectorbolshevik and are not trying to bring their anti-matriarchal womyn agenda into it, like so many so called pro sex worker males tend to do. Just check out my video entitled, "Why Tricks Shouldn't Be Apart of the Sex Worker's Rights Movement". Or maybe you are the problem?

  • I don't undertand why Swedish men allowed this feminazi law and other man-hating laws in their country. How they got so brainwashed? Many of them go to Denmank, Germany, Thailand, etc and pay for sex.Is hypocrysy. The Swedish law doesn't prohibit them buying sex where it is legal, why Swedish government doesn't extend it outside of Sweden and follow them around? I doubt that they'll follow Swedish women, they'll just target "the men" , making it obvious that this law is sexist and man-hating.

  • Pye works for wealthy and powerful john's lobby !! Shes wellpayed for that crap she said !!No one of swedish sexworkers want abolish criminalization of their clients !! Just read what they write themselv on the website sexwork.net (swedish language).Swedish anti-john law not hurts any of sexworkers. On the opposite, many murders of prostituts happends at the 70s in Sweden - LONG time before this law

  • Firstly, it a "false choice". Just because it's not the MOST important issue in the world doesn't mean that it's not important.

Now, to your "task": I am pointing out that e) would ALSO be c), and also to some extent d), whether I _want to_ "multi-task" or not. Moreover, b) would obviously also be c), and partially e). It's impossible to stop trafficking and NOT improve human rights at the same time.

As to helping sw, you're very critical of the woman. She mentions social programs at the end.

  • @ankprat Who talked about "the MOST important choice" here before you? Certainly not I. All I did was offering ONE choice out of five (a-e), that's all. The point was that it's up to you or anyone else to make the right choice. The choice is not two options but ONE. Is that a tas too hard? As for the woman, your analysis is probably correct. I dislike her. Besides: did you watch that U2-clip yet? YT/watch?v=jPgU39aI02Y * (* I know, that you know how to exchange those letters and add others)
  • @Burqua12

YES! I'm telling you it's a hard task. Indeed, it's an IMPOSSIBLE task, because the things are mixed into one another, and cannot be separated. And I have no idea why you're linking to a U2 clip.

  • @ankprat

    [correction:]

    task

  • Sweden is a Feminazi State ! and it has to be boycotted, all men ( and women for free choice) in the rest of the West should boycott all Swedish products.

  • @nabu2k7: As longs as we're making factually unfounded and blatantly ignorant blanket statements why not proclaim that the United States is an extreme rightwing fascist oligarchy, the inhabitants of which mainly constists of gun-tootin' brainwashed wifebeating evangelical retards who love stuffing their face with fat-drenched burgers while watching nascar.

By the same token then, let's boycott the US, because americans are stupid and smell funny.

  • @noibn2

boycotting the U.S.A will not work, American men have allies in Canada, U.K, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and the rest of the West. Feminazism will be a thing of the past, Western men have defeated Nazism, Communism in Europe, what make you thing Western men are not going to destroy Feminazism? Only 3 feminazi countries have passed this stupid law, Sweden,Norway and Iceland, they won't succeed in brainwahing the rest of the West with man-hating propaganda.

  • @nabu2k7

Western men did not defeat nazism. The Western -people- defeated Nazi Germany.

How do you expect a country holds together with mandatory conscription of young males in war-times?

And how is this law anything like man-hating propaganda or femenism? It's contra-productive despite gender. Not to mention there being alot more male sex-workers than the media ever has balls enough to shed light on.

  • @nabu2k7 , Pye Jakobsson - woman on this video IS a 'femi-nazi', according to her own words on swedish media she IS a feminist and leftist

  • @MsSinaSix heh... i just read this exchance...

pretty funny... like asking a creationist to provide evidence for the flood... or listening to nephy talking about his geocentrism... nop... you won't get far asking DianaBoston for sources... thats "insulting" and of course, she will deflect.

But then again... they support the pink cross foundation... and accept them as valid researchers...

  • i dont know why clients should be criminalized , i think nobody should be criminalized as long as the sex exchange is consentual

  • i would never do it...therefor it must be wrong. and i dont want you to do it if you want to.so im going to stop you from doing what you want to do.

  • why don't the moral supremacists listen to what sex workers are saying?

why do govts such as usa, sweden and uk give so much taxpayers money to

moral supremacist groups? why not give that money to sex workers instead?

  • If there was just ONE thing in the whole world to strive for, in order to make the world a better place, would you strive to: a.) achieve world peace b.) fight "trafficking" c.) increase human rights d.) help the poor e.) help "sex-workers" and their clients ? Just a rhethorical question for you to think about. "And I'd join the movement If there was one I could believe in Yeah I'd break bread and wine If there was a church I could receive in 'cause I need it now " YT/watch?v=jPgU39aI02Y
  • @Burqua12

"a.) achieve world peace b.) fight "trafficking" c.) increase human rights d.) help the poor e.) help "sex-workers" and their clients?"

Well, it's a weird question. Of course we can achieve several things at the same time. But more specifically, this IS a case of "increased human rights". Obviously, consenting adults should have the right to whatever sex they want. Also, of course many of the sexworkers are poor, so helping them IS helping the poor.

    Think about it.

  • @rydbert What's weird with the question? I didn't ask you to do "multi-tasking", regardless of it being possible, but rather I was most specific in suggesting you to choose just ONE of those options: a-e. You get the task or not? It's your job to deliver, not to change the task, ok? _____________ [changing topics:] Regarding the concept of "sex workers": there are no such thing as a sex worker. Only fools use that kind of rhethorics. You say that many "s w"s are poor. How do you help them?
  • @Burqua12

And why couldn't you use the term "sex work"? They work with sex, hence they are sex workers. For example, most people would not call a stripper a prostitute, so you need a broader term to cover the different forms of sex work, just like she explains in the video.

  • This idiot can never make me think that it's natural to be a "sex-worker", especially if you have kids!

It shall never be considered to be a "normal profession", ever.

The example with the grown-up child/student, who lived with with his mother, a prostitute is just horrendous, not because of him being called a "pimp" but because of her being a bad rolemodel for him!

This idiot doesn't even understand what's wrong with that situation.

Rather she thinks the "pimping law" is the main problem.

  • Hey you - woman in this clip: you oughtta show a little more respect to those "assistants" in hospital, "cleaning up shit".

    !

What would you do without them, when you grow old and senile, from taking too much illegal substances?

People, as ignorant as this woman, are really tragic.

What's their purpose in this world?

    Who's their master?

    Who do they serve?

  • @Burqua12

  • It's obvious to me and the Society of Bur-q-ua, that this person has no conception of neither the word "decency" nor "self-respect".

She actually compares being a "sex-worker" to working as an assistant in the hospital (01:47)!

I believe, that this woman is indeed representative for sex-workers, although not as she claims.

She's representative, since she's obviously in denial of making an indecent choice of living.

She's representative, since she was most likely sexually abused as a child.

  • @Burqua12 so being married to an abusive man is decent? Being in a minimum wage job unable to pay bills is decent? Kicking out your gay son because he's gay at the age of 11 is decent? Being in the military and in a country that we have no business being in is decent? Knowingly pumping toxic chemicals into waterways and the ocean because it would cost "too much" to properly treat and contain it is decent? Being a criminal defence lawyer is decent? Think the church is decent?

  • @MsSinaSix source please for your information? If the questions were part of another measure by another study then sometimes they are left out and you must look at the originating study for the questionnaire. It's just like when a study says they employed say, the BSI, which is a measurement created by another researcher. You need to look up that inventory in the research library. It's not a conspiracy to hide the method.

  • No, not all women in prostitution are victims, but most are forced in different ways (from financial, to drug addiction to outright forced), so this woman in the video is only thinking of herself, selfish person. Prostitutes are already stigmatized, objectification is PART of the job, nothing to do with it being legal or not. Yes there are numbers. This woman is full of shit.

  • @MsSinaSix Yes I have. I have a degree in Psychology and hence, statistics. You're saying the study doesn't show anything and that's bollocks.

  • Wait a sec, they asked if it was a choice and she answers with this stuff about radical feminism? And of course she uses the ever-popular quote mine in regards to penetration. What a tool. Oh and then she takes the law and strawmans that too. Yeah, prostitution serves their living purpose, oh, but, umm don't forget about the money! So they corrected the law. The swedish model study is up now and guess what? It WORKS! Gosh she strawmans continually.

  • @SaelPalani No as a Swede who has followed this debate where the method of all the claims of it working has been critizied and to be idealogicaly biased. I find it funny that you consider a system that makes sex selling a black market and a paradice for people who are practicing force and traficking and putting everything undergrown because sex sellers must hide there clients.

Ugh Marxist ideology with gender not good not good...

  • Sweden is an fascist country ruled bye extremefeminism.

  • @plodo1 Sweden is a country that really takes human rights as it should be done.

  • I felt a very valid point was made when the woman expressed that although laws are being passed, there are very little if any support services available to those women who wish to get out of the industry.

Many women are involved in prostitiion due to extrenuating financial personal circumstances, and or a cycle of abuse and force.

If it is stated that all prostitutes are victims of a crime, then it makes sense that the government would be providing support and health services for those victims

  • Comment removed

  • @annaktivist I'm commenting directly on what this woman has said here. She made references to laws, consultations regarding laws etc.

According to this particular sex worker, the provision of support and health services is not sufficient.

I don't live in Sweden and am not a sex worker, so I will look at this as a difference of opinion between yourself and the sex worker presenting her view in this case.

Im not debating nor supporting your personal point of view re criminalization.

  • @annaktivist From the comments I read I really agree with you. Did you get to look at the results of the swedish model study?

  • @SaelPalani . results of the swedish model is good :-)

  • 1 .@MissLouella , you said

'If it is stated that all prostitutes are victims of a crime.then it makes sense that the government would be providing support and health services for those victims'

Very few swedish prostitutes are victims of crime. This is insulting to sexworkers to take for granted that all of them are victims of crime.

Many prostitutes were victims of crime BEFORE criminalizing of clients, in 70s and 80s.Murder of Catrin daCosta is just 1 example.,

  • @annaktivist - I don't know the circumstances of every SINGLE sex worker in Sweden. BUT the reality is, there WOULD be some who DO in fact fall under that category.

I also DIDNT personally state that ALL were, I spoke in relation to this Story, and also stated a policy belief of mine, THAT IF - in the relevant documents, it states that they are in fact victims of crime, then THOSE THAT ARE SHOULD be provided with the required support.

  • good video that has upset those who are anti- prostitute & want to punish sex workers

new zealand has decriminalised prostitution which has given sex workers rights & empowerment & made the lives of women much safer(something the anti-prostitute people are against)

new zealand has a history of enlightened legislation as they were the first country in the world to give women the right to vote

  • Decriminalisation not solve any problem,,In all countries where prostitution is fully legalized prostitution is STILL stigmatized,For ex..when germans want insult someone they call him HURENSOHN (whore's son).Legalisation pushed competition, For ex..German sexworkers must take more clients to survive.More clients - more friction for body, more stress and faster ageing.Pro-legalisation activists care ONLY for male

  • @annaktivist

what the hell do you expect? that over night people will just get over their prejudices? and what would you call a success? a reduction relative conditions before legalization? how about relative to other countries?

legalization/decriminalization are fairly new concepts to first world nations a decade or so is not going to be enough to see major changes.

im just trying to imagin someone coming in here and saying that homosexuals are STILL sigmatized in countries

  • that no longer make it a crime to be gay and gurantees equal rights to gays.

i'm trying to picture someone coming in here and saying blacks may have won their civil rights struggles but racism STILL exists. yeah its gonna still exist. its a working progress that too several generations to built to this point and will take at least as much time to deconstruct.

  • most people dont change their minds easily about major issues and our opinions are heavily based on what our parents believe and what is considered socially acceptable ( up to 96% by some estimates). it will take generations to change public opinion is a drastic way.

so whe you talk about there STILL being sigma, as if to imply that you expected some massive shift to make decrim valid in your eyes, is unrealistic.

decrim does solve a lot of problems. 1) is gets women who dont

  • want to be on the streets off the streets 2) if keeps otherwise law abiding citizens out of jail 3) it allows women who want to contract a safe environment to do so legally (in countries like canada, its legal to be a prostitute the laws surrounding prostitution make it illegal for workers to take basic steps to protect themselves) 3) women are less likely to be exploited by pimps and brothel owners because they can easily set up shop from home and dont have to

  • having to work within redlight districts and in licensed brothels. which makes it expensive for some to start up their own center. 4) no competition for lisences

it may mean lower wages for women at the top of the income earning spectrum. but for the low earning workers benifit from this and do to clients by leveling out supply and demand.

  • HunCivLibUnion, if legalization of prostitution is so god for sexworkers - why some German and Dutch prostitutes come to work here to SWEDEN ? I asked them and they answered, that legalization created lower prices and competition in their countries

  • Comment removed

  • @annaktivist

    more risk, more money.

in america, where trafficing drugs is illegal and dangerouse, there is no shortage of poor, desperate people who take their chances in the industry.

decriminalization is optimal but the downside is possibly reduced incomes. in US, Nevada is the only legal place to pay for sex. girls there make as much as $3000/hour. the street girls dont come close to that and suffer from the lack of consideration for their safety, welbeing and security in

  • their work. even with legal systems. there may be several women who would choose illegal street work because of regulation issues and problem with enforcement.

so bare in mind there is a spectrum. legal is usually better than illegal. and more money is better than less money. and sometimes more money is better than being safe.

  • @annaktivist legalisation in Holland also led to more sex trafficking, not less as was an aim of making it legal. It gave pimps and traffickers more power actually. The deputy mayor of Amsterdam is talking about the swedish model if new laws, that Dutch senate still has to pass, fails (again). Anyway, the subject keeps me busy, b/c sex trafficking is the worst crime there is, and many men dont even care if they fuck a forced woman, this entire pros stuff is really sickening.

  • @Tuckercrew ,,yes, even in Germany legalistion of prostitution led to increasing of trafficking..

Swedish model NOT hurts sex-workers,,its just gives them higher wages and less competition..

Once again . - prostitution is NOT banned in sweden, but only clients are criminalised, what did not prevent them to continue paying for sex :-))

  • Comment removed

  • SexWorkersRights' misogynist comment shows very clear that hes rather ClientsRights' than SexWorkers rights activist.

His comment is another proof that swedish anti-clients law is GOOD for ALL sexworkers

  • Wow this seems to be the exact same laws in Canada towards prostitution, but we are working on changing the laws and in a very expensive court case and uproar of activism.

  • @minnieclips, dont worry, it will be better for the canadian sexworkers,if u get the same anti-clients law.Seriously

  • Comment removed

  • @HunCivLibUnion I agree that the differentiation between consensual and coerced activities is extremely important. There are already laws in place in most countries which make coerced/rape/sexual crimes illegal. The difficulty lies not only in proving the illegal events have taken place, but also to the extent that those laws are enforced.

  • some people never miss an opportunity to display their hatred of women who sell sex,its that persecution & stigma that leads to 5 women being murdered in ipswich

  • I live in sweden, not in UK!!

    We talk about sweden now..

Swedish prostitute Catrine da Costa been murdered BEFORE swedish model, in 80s.

Stigma and hatred of women existed long BEFORE swedish anti-clients law, and it will be maybe in next 1000 year.

Why else German sex-workers were masked when they talked on TV? Prostitution is legal in Germany, they should show their faces

  • @annaktivist Writing bullshit is (still) legal in Sweden so you should show your face and not hide behind a pseudonym. Right? Or maybe not?

  • Is she representative of all the women in the world who are prostituted?

  • SthlmMaya wrote:

    ""You're so full of shit!""

  • @annaktivist

for someone that loves to throw around words like "strawman"

you should know that you've just created one right here with this comment.

being that you try to be so damn smart. i bet you can figure out which one that is?

if you need help, give me a shout. i would be glad to give you a hint.

  • @bumfancyer, author of this video IS feminist and left winger, according to her own words in swedish media

  • @annaktivist Doesn't matter which side of the political spectrum she is on, only thing that matter is her position on the specific issue and her words.

  • @regresseur ,my comment was adressed to @bumfancyer who writes that anti-clients law is ''left feminazi'' stuff. So i answered him that this decriminalisation-activist on this video Pye Jacobsson IS a Left feminist as well

  • pye is a stripper, Theres diff between striptease and prostitution.

Neither strip-nor porn consumera are criminalized in sweden.

  • Pye neither swedish nor a prostitute. She's a DANCER and works in Finland.

She have no idea about prostitution in Sweden.

  • Comment removed

  • Sexwork is both striptease, prostitution and many other things. There are sexworkeractivists from all parts of the sexindustry.

  • but its still diff betweem strip and prostitution an pye talks against criminalizing of prostitution's consumers, despite she have not much idea about swedish pros. conditions

Again, neither strip nor porn consumers are criminalized i.e. SOME kinds of sexwork are accepted by the swed, authorities

  • So according to Annactivist we should stay outside society and take part in illegal activities because of wages?

    YES.

but hey, u have many other choises :

    1.masturbation

    2. serious relationship

    3.castration

Just a question to uderstand it better. How can a reduction in demand trigger a hike in prices ? Making prostitution a crime for the client should reduce demand a lot more than supply. I'm interested to understand the mechanism only.
