Love the playing man! Great sounding amp too. I have this same pedal from Analogman, and a friend has this amp, but it sounded super harsh when I tried them together with my Strat ... Love the sound you're getting.

does one use a tube screamer so you can get good breakup with less vol?
I have never used one, but I tried out this amp today, and i must say it sounds great~ but when i up my guitar vol for classic rock sound ( still sounding wonderful ) it may be loud enough to overcome my drummer. I do have a "twin amp" (clean channel + dirty channel ) and it sounds great too but it weighs a TON! That is why I tried a DRRI

Yep - unless you are at full volume you need a Tubescreamer or other overdrive/distortion pedal.
