For those saying "If I'm paying $7 for coffee, I expect good customer service," it's clear you don't go to Starbucks. We don't have coffee for $7. The expensive drinks are espresso beverages and you're paying for the milk. Milk is expensive, get over it or get regular coffee for about $2.

As a former Starbucks barista I completely agree with this. And this isn't just whining; I've worked in customer service for the past 7 years and the customers at Starbucks were some of the most selfish an rude people I have ever come in contact with. Yes, there are crappy people wherever you work but apparently most people who go to starbucks assume that because they can afford a $7 latte they should all be treated like royalty and I'm sorry but that's just a tad ridiculous....
Parts of the 'rant' are funny, sure- but Starbucks does not pay "minimum wage", they pay more and their benefits are very, very good and include discounted company stock.
There are "asshole" customers in every retail scenario, but there are very nice customers and generous customers as well.

Some of you are taking this too seriously. As a barista at Starbucks, I can tell you that everything he said is true. He's not saying every guest is like that or that he's going to give everyone bad service. For those saying "If I'm paying $7 for coffee, I expect good customer service," it's clear you don't go to Starbucks. We don't have coffee for $7. The expensive drinks are espresso beverages and you're paying for the milk. Milk is expensive, get over it or get regular coffee for about $2.

This made international news....So I worked at Starbucks for 2 years, met some of my best friends there, as well as the love of my life (who was a regular :P) I agree with everything you said had a lot of these days....some of the people are great but man some just suck, you rock for this!!! :) and seriously Sbux customers, treat ppl better cause I'm sure you wouldn't want a person to say some of the nasty things I've been told.

As a former Starbucks barista I completely agree with this. And this isn't just whining; I've worked in customer service for the past 7 years and the customers at Starbucks were some of the most selfish an rude people I have ever come in contact with. Yes, there are crappy people wherever you work but apparently most people who go to starbucks assume that because they can afford a $7 latte they should all be treated like royalty and I'm sorry but that's just a tad ridiculous....

Parts of the 'rant' are funny, sure- but Starbucks does not pay "minimum wage", they pay more and their benefits are very, very good and include discounted company stock.
There are "asshole" customers in every retail scenario, but there are very nice customers and generous customers as well.
This 'kid' seems to be suffering from some form of reality disconnect...or is simply an angry young man who may need something other than attention from youtubers!!
