Considering they're talking about Corneas, and thinking back to my hazy highschool biology classes, I believe Corneas don't have the chemical markers that induce an immune response, so they're a pretty safe transplant.
@TwoTube2 I wouldn't read too much into it. SL historically had the best health and education systems in South Asia, actually of a first world standard. Until the war anyway. Hopefully it's starting to improve again now the conflict's over.
As a long time Buddhist myself, I'm not sure I personally agree with the exact rebirth beliefs here at all. But the habit of looking "what else is there for me to give" is profound. May more religions and cultures take up the habit.
@TheBarnebus haaaa there are 30000 gods.Lord Buddha is superior to all after Lord Buddha Vishnu,Kali and Ganesh comes then after about 1000 other gods there comes your allah and christian god

@TheBarnebus What are your thoughts on organ donation? Will you be giving of yourself to help others after you die?

Well we already knew Buddhism was one of the few decent religions.
Vire70 1 month ago
@Vire70 It's more decent than most, but it still has its own problems.

hayden50 1 month ago
@hayden50 Such as belief in false mythology.

@selfworm
Oh, no doubt. I'd sooner see all religion disassembled but if I had to pick just a couple to keep, Buddhism would be on the list.
