I met Sensei Makishi at his dojo or home, not easy to find. Very nice man, very respectful. He has tremendous power, hip movement & ki. I trained with him when I went to Okinawa and he was testing one of his students for a fourth Dan, he looked really good, lots of power & snap.
I use to practice Matsubayashi-ryu back in 1974 in Uruguay, I used to be Brown belt, then I stoped practicing when I got in USA in 1982.Today a live in Brasil, I would like to know if there is any Matsubayashi-ryu Doyo around Florianopolis Santa Catarina.and I want to know what do I need to teach Matsubayashi-ryu in Brazil?
today Im 50 years Old.Should I get kata training leasson to get a Black bealt beafore any thing? I need some orientations Thank. Miguel
Yes, you should find a certified Matsubayashi teacher and make sure that you are still a capable brown belt rather than someone who has not practiced for years trying to teach.
Does anyone know the kata at the very end where they are dropping so low to the floor? I posted this on the 1960's vid by accident. Great vid, thanks.
I'm happy I'm training at my dojo >.< we always are lauching there, and learning a lot at the same time, that lauching thing is because me and my best friend are on karate:P

This is the best style of karate. Most other styles don't seem as realistic

Its not the style that makes it good. Its the person's ability that makes the style realistic
