I like a lot of things about this one. The counter rotating blades keep you from spinning out. All the weight is at the bottom, so you can't get it out of shape. It need a blade guard though!

If he encases the blades he can improve the efficiency of the lift as well makeing it safer. If made correctly there is no way it can throw a blade. Also if he was to utilise a computer and gyroscope he can create a kind of fly by wire as computers can makehundreds of decisions per second. My hats off to nutters like this, well done!!

I guess you would need to either get up high enough so you have time to parachute down, or stay low to the ground in case the engine fails. Some sort of back up safety would be great -- what do real helicopters use in case the main engine fails? Or are you just screwed? lol
