we had the highest tax increase in history when Clinton was in office...taxes went down when Bush took office and the democrats have been bitching ever since...don't be fooled that they only want the rich to pay more...they want everyone to pay more...vote for who you want but don't believe everything these guys try to feed us

during the 90's in the clinton administration, we had those higher taxes, but our economy was booming and jobs were almost at its highest.

The clinton administration at least had the country's budget balanced. during the bush administration they just basically ran up the country's credit card.

Now the next president will be blamed for raising taxes in some way. In Obama's method, the wealthy (+250k a year) can take the hit, instead of the family's who are struggling.

If someone who is currently in a higher tax bracket(pays higher % in tax) was moved to pay the same % in tax as the lowest waged man or woman, they would still pay more because the percentage is higher. I dont think a lot of people understand that concept when these politicians are talking about the issue.
