That they play in a lower key isn't bad,but Barre should then detune his whole guitar -Black Sabbath style ! Now the lowest note of the riff is missing.

Believe it or not this vocal isn't all that bad as far as they go. I'd be more worried about the acerbic keys tone and the overpower of guitar; sad but true the song USED to be at that intensity level Martin plays at, but is the rest of this song? Nice flute solo, though...

Check the "Living with the past" DVD, I think he does that there too

I'd say the headmaster still has a few thousand tricks up his sleeve. So grateful for the ongoing reality of Jethro Tull, now 40 years removed from the starting gate, numerous bad reviews or no reviews, outliving several fads, their guilt was being of no time or fad.
