Aww. I do this kinda stuff to my beardie too! She's my little buddy. I wake her up every morning and turn her lights on and I "tuck her in" every night and bundle her up in something warm. I don't want to risk her getting cold at night and getting sick from it. If something happened to her I'd be so devastated!

@kingjohnbigboote Bearded dragons are perfectly fine being woken up by us; they operate on similar circadian rhythms according to the cycle of light in their environment. So long as the dragon is kept to a regular schedule, as this seems to be, it will be fine. Not to mention, they are perfectly capable of pulling a "Roll over and go back to sleep" after we school students leave for the morning. ;) That's why they have dark hides.

@Stingraylord The only way u can get salmonella is if u kiss him on his mouth if his saliva enters ur mouth, which is not likely! lol Just practice good hygiene, make sure you clean his tank thoroughly every 2 weeks or so, and daily remove his poop and change his water bowl, food dish etc. Don't worry.
