Weird time signatures for the sake of just being different. Great players but the emotion is missing from the song so its not really music to me. Just musical acrobatics. Not my cup of tea.
does anybody think that at 4:47, instead of going into the clean part, it would have sounded good with the guitar/ keys solo from metropolis that comes right after the bass solo?

I have a weird question. Could anyone tell me who's playing the guitar while Petrucci holds his right hand on the guitar body at 3:40 ?? I watched it on DVD a couple times and there is more noticeable. His hand rests on the body and I still hear strumming :/ Is it playback or what?
@aLt8SIEM Taken from wikipedia: His rig mysteriously shut down leaving the song to continue with no guitar until around the end of the first chorus. It was later discovered that a camera-man on stage accidentally stepped on a switch that immediately silences Petrucci's entire guitar rig. However, Petrucci recorded the missing guitar parts in a studio as to keep the flow of the show and song moving.

One of the great things about seeing a band live is just about having a good time and listening to the music you love played by one of your favourite bands, and dream theater never disapoint, this song is awesome!!!!!!!!
I like how he goes around and cuddles with everyone. He's been doing that since the old days too. My favorite is Take the Time like in Tokyo when it's John's mega solo at the end and he's just hand banging while holding on to Myung's shoulders.
