We HAVE to work with these same exact cockroaches in school. And they are disgusting! Once we had them in a bowl with a cap type thing and it crawled out onto our desks (btw our group was ALL girls) and we started to freak out and run away while it was still crawling on our desk ! So a boy came and got it. I've never touched one & never will!

Can anyone explain me why I am so freakingly scared of cockroaches and most other insects (I am less afraid of flies and grasshoppers)? I am scared to a level that if I'd see one resting or walking near me I'd jump as if there was an imminent danger to my life (i.e. a reflexive reaction) which means I can even injure myelf while trying to avoid such poor little insects.
