@ZeSteelerfan Yeah, we used lumenoks for a while, but we have tons of rocks out here and we found that if you missed the rabbit and the arrow hit a rock, the nock would bounce out just enough to turn the light off and then you loose the arrow plus a $10 broad head plus a $10 lumenok... it got expensive real fast

@hazelentertainment if you just got interested, its best to research and see what type suits your style. do you want to maybe use it to hunt after you develop your skills? or do you just want to lob arrows at a target, trying to beat your own best grouping? do you prefer traditional or modern? how much do you want to invest in the bow and its support gear? etc etc.
Thats why you practice any chance you get. I practice 30 yards at plastic milk caps.
If you can hit that you will not have a problem making a good hit. People seem to think a gun is a quicker kill then a bow. However it is about the same. The animal expires within seconds if hit in a vital.

Damn i wish i could just walk up on rabbits and coons like that... my average shot with bow for rabbit is 40 yards, with some as long as 75... and i got a big ass arc, as i'm using my regular deer arrows... 560grains of arrow and broadhead!!

Nice. I was about to get some judo tips but there pretty expensive. I go rabbit hunting like every night and usually get one. But its getting to the point that I walk into the field and all of them scatter.
Those bows have some power, my PSE buckeye doesnt do that much damage. When I shoot a rabbit its gon run for a few minutes. Most of your guys shots kill them instantly.

Oh really? I bought some of those and thought they looked to pathetic to use. Im just using some pretty sharp field points because I didnt really wanna spend 20$ more for one tip. But the buldgeon tips are pretty cheap 5$ for about 10 of em or so.
I didn't like the shot from the vehicle. It lessened the whole video, very immature with the laughing in the background. It only helps the anti-hunters view of us.

I bet a 20lb compound would do the trick, like i said, you may have to get a little closer and really try and make a good shot behind the shoulder. But like I said, rabbits are fairly thin skinned so if its all you've got, by all mean, get out there and give it a try. I bet you will have some success
Rabbits are very thin shinned, so it might work if your real close, but I don't think I would try. I would get a broad head and crank that bow up a little bit.
Nice shooting, guys. Having done some small game hunting with my bow, I know how tough those blasted little critters are to hit!
BTW, I used to just put a 1/2" washer behind field point for small game. I found it outperformed the judo on game, although it didn't stop the arrow as effectively when you missed and shot into grass or scrub.
The G5 small game points are bad ass. They may even be called judos, I can't recall, but they are tuff as hell. The points with wire arms sticking out work good, but seem to break more.

@nref55: We don't have to many cotton tails out here, but we have an over population of Jack rabbits so we generally that all we shoot.

@NEBRASKANfarley96 yeah man, they only work well when your real close though.. I usually carry a couple diffirenent tips in my quiver, a bludgeon tip, an expandable of some sort, and a couple judo tips

Nice. I was about to get some judo tips but there pretty expensive. I go rabbit hunting like every night and usually get one. But its getting to the point that I walk into the field and all of them scatter.

Those bows have some power, my PSE buckeye doesnt do that much damage. When I shoot a rabbit its gon run for a few minutes. Most of your guys shots kill them instantly.

@NEBRASKANfarley96 haha, yeah thanks.. I think alot of those shots where they just fall over dead, we were using those rubber bludgeon tip. they do so massive damage at close range, but just kinda bounce off at long distance

Oh really? I bought some of those and thought they looked to pathetic to use. Im just using some pretty sharp field points because I didnt really wanna spend 20$ more for one tip. But the buldgeon tips are pretty cheap 5$ for about 10 of em or so.

I didn't like the shot from the vehicle. It lessened the whole video, very immature with the laughing in the background. It only helps the anti-hunters view of us.

I bet a 20lb compound would do the trick, like i said, you may have to get a little closer and really try and make a good shot behind the shoulder. But like I said, rabbits are fairly thin skinned so if its all you've got, by all mean, get out there and give it a try. I bet you will have some success

Rabbits are very thin shinned, so it might work if your real close, but I don't think I would try. I would get a broad head and crank that bow up a little bit.

Nice shooting, guys. Having done some small game hunting with my bow, I know how tough those blasted little critters are to hit!
BTW, I used to just put a 1/2" washer behind field point for small game. I found it outperformed the judo on game, although it didn't stop the arrow as effectively when you missed and shot into grass or scrub.

The G5 small game points are bad ass. They may even be called judos, I can't recall, but they are tuff as hell. The points with wire arms sticking out work good, but seem to break more.
