  • Checked Craigslist cincinnatifor the massage chair (not chairs that give electric massages). Cost new $199, free shipping from Atlanta, GA. Found a web site with one marked down to $119, don't know about shipping. Sent info via email. If you need $ let me know. You can bet insurance won't cover it. I KNOW it helps support the spine and literally "takes a load of." My sister has one but she's keeping it. They do help support and relieve the back in a restful position.

  • I would say don't buzz it cuz it accentuates the roundness of the head and defeats one's attempts to look more male. I've done it, I've seen others on here do it, and it's rarely attractive, and I think it calls more attention to yourself. I'd get your usual cut for now. You're changing, Ami, I can see it. Can't put my finger on it, but it's there.

  • Good luck on your upcoming surgeries. I wouldn't have raised the gender issue with them until the "female" stuff was out, but since you have, I agree with your plan to delay submitting proof until after it is over.

Isn't it a bummer that while you are out of work and have the time to have surgery, money is the issue. If you had a job, time off would be the issue.

    Again, good luck.

  • Nearest to zero gravity --a pool, the hotter the better.,, a hot tub? I soak in my deep bathtub, but you might not be able to get comfortable that way. Another thought -- a massage chairs where you are basically on your knees & lean forward on the "back", put your face in the nice face rest & rest your arms on special rests. Know anybody with one of those? If you have "oophs" seems they would be covered unless specifically gender restricted. Sounds like you are asking the right questions.

  • @Hearten7 i am to stay away from heat, but oh my god, the massage chair sounds perfect, but can't think of a soul who possesses one. most insurance won't cover complete hysterectomy for gender reassignment purposes, only for medical necessity, from my experience anyway. i'm hopeful that this will work out and i can get insurance to pay for it.

  • Have you tried sitting in an ergonomic position? Meaning, your thighs would be parallel to the ground and the chair would have a back that would support your back.

  • @cu3cards yup, i get bad spasms, but thanks.
