@less01 they said why: they feel culturally european; makes sense: the US is... in America and Israel is in the Middle East.... why would anyone even want to go to Israel... If I were a Jew, I wouldn't go to a country were all it's neighbors hated that country; not to mention the right-wing government that's torturing the Palestinians.... that's so shameful

Well, I will fill you in on why Jews may be returning to Germany. They return because Jews have lived in Germany since 600BC! They have helped to build that country and have contributed to it and have died in service to it, so why not go back there? Yes there was a sad past too but it is part of Jewish history. Most Ashkenazi Jews are more German than many Germans, and I don't just mean the recent shit immigrants seeping into (and destroying) Germany.

The Ashkenazi Jews like the woman at the beginning of this vid ALL originated in Germany. That's where they had lived for hundreds of years before migrating to the British Isles, E. Europe & Russia.

The Jewish word for the region we now know as the Rhineland was called Ashkenaz, hence the name Ashkenazi Jews. Of course ALL Jews, if you go back far enough, came from Israel. And now they are back in their homeland. But Jews have lived in Europe as long as they had lived in the ME.
