One of the greatest of all-time. I just finished watching the new DVD set on Steamboat, and what a terrific set it is. This guy could not wrestle a bad match, that is how good he was. If he really wanted to, he could come out of retirement and take half these younger guys to school. Great Titantron too.

The song he came out to at wrestlemania was a complete farse. It was actually Ultimo Dragons theme from his brief stint in WWE circa 2004. Just a joke.  I dont ever remember this theme for Steamboat. He had a different one during Wrestlemania 3. His NWA and WCW theme was money though. Why they didnt use it...no one knows

I forget who he was fighting, but the were both on the turnbuckle. Is opponent was sitting on it, while he was standing on the ropes. They were throwing punches at each other and Steamboat fell backwards into the ring and landed wrong on his back wrong. normally that wouldn't do much, but the match went on and Dragon did his usually High-Flying moves, including a cross body to an opponent outside the ring. All of that added up to what ended his career so soon.
