Wow a bunch of people who have never served anywhere and never will jumping up and down in there seats, like liberals do when they have no fact to support their opinion. What a group of coward idiots.
Even Bush and Rumsfeld believed the administration was approving torture, Liz Cheney was caught in a big lie in which she was not privy to all the facts about. She is like a blurry, smudged, distorted copy of her parents, I hope her future in politics is ruined, but I doubt the Republicans, will give up on her that quickly.
I love how they spruced Eugene Robinson up for this tv chimp out. I guess they caught him in between his drug binges. I think I seen him on an episode of cops hitting his wife. "Ay bitch dat beez mine. Dont you know who I is? Im Eugene MUTHA FUCKIN' Robinson bitch dont you see me on tv. I pay da bills around here bitch you just live here."
For gods sake, will nothing shut this harpie up? Every time I've seen her on TV she does 90% of the talking when the facts are very clear that her father broke the law and is a war criminal, in spite of the legal genius of John Wu's memo.
If you consider not letting Eugene Robinson talk is "making mincemeat" of him, you would be right. I suppose his Pulitzer Prize was an Affirmative Action symbol as well. What has Liz ever won other than some unthinkable incest awards from "My Dad?"
@marcxopoco And you're a racist bigot. Uneducated, southern, too many children, white supremacist, confederate, fucked your mom and sisters so your kids are retarded...To all of us in the 'MAINSTREAM', meaning we do not take orders from AM talk radio, you are a joke and a waste of human flesh. Mainstream America hopes you die soon. Will you be out celebrating Timothy McVeigh's life on April 20, 2010?
I'd be interested in knowing YOUR educational background, marcxopoco--
I always find it hilarious when barely-high-school-educated Whites downplay the accomplishments of intelligent blacks as affirmative action. It seems that book knowledge and intelligence is only important or genuine when Whites possess it. FYI, I'm a Black man in a Ph.D program (1380 GREs, 3.96 GPA in my master's degree).
That's...original. Yet, a very convenient sidestepping of my most apt question: What is YOUR educational background, which quite frankly, I'm inclined to suspect that you have none :)
Further, would you consider a private, liberal arts/Ivy League education "retarded" as you so eloquently suggested? I guess all mah book learnin' ain't worth muchh is it? haha. I'm no Marxist, as communism is rooted in a totalitarianism and materialism that a Christian could never accept.
You were able to comprehend my response, no? Were the words too big for your feeble mind to process? If so, I'm sorry. Wait...no I'm not, because it means I'm educated and perhaps instead of spreading vitriolic sentiments (again, you do know what vitriol means, correct?--it means hateful), it might do you some good to emerge from whatever trailerpark you came from, go to a library, purchase a card, and actually educate yourself.
Liz is an idiot. If she thinks she is right, then what is the point in complaining about the tortures of the American POW in the hands of the Vietnamese, when they, the Vietnamese, were factually and not hipothetically exterminated by the American bombs and the Vietnamese wanted to get "vital info" from the killers?
Liz held her own in this debate nicely. What Eugene Robinson did near the end of this video was construct an argument from silence. That's a logical fallacy. It is insufficient to base his argument on the silence of Condi Rice and others in the Bush Administration. That doesn't necessarily prove that they were involved in any shady activities, and to do assert that as proof/evidence that his point is valid is simply begging the question, also a logical fallacy itself. ;-)
who gives a fuck if ksm was waterboarded , what fucking world do these fucking liberal morons live in , please tell us eugene just what would you have done , you know what i really believe with all my heart that liberals don't really care if we are attacked again
And that's why idotic nutjobs like your fellow NeoCons are in the minority, with NO real political power, who has a fuckin shock-jock concervative radio show host as the real leader of your party. LOL, pathetic!
Running scared. Fucking criminals- straight to prison for Cheney and then run a reality t.v program so we can watch this disgusting specimen weep as she visits her war criminal father.
Liz lives in denial and has a troubling loyalty and dedication to protecting her: filthy, lying, rich, scam artist, torturing father. Do your homework Liz, only a handful of those in gitmo were "terrorists" they rest are innocent and illegally held and tortured. throw liz into iraq war then gitmo. she will change her story and disown her %#$#$%# piece of shit dad.

I agree that Robinsion didn't press his points home. However, with regard to waterboarding not being torture (as Liz Cheney claims). We prosecuted Japanese after WWII for waterboarding prisoners. Does the fact that the Bush administration waterboarded prisoners make it any less a crime?
A hypocritical stance on this issue will not make America safer. Not incidentally, by resorting to torture the US is creating sympathy (and thus more support) for terrorists (and terrorism).
Furthermore, Malcolm Nance (former master instructor and chief of training at the U.S. Navy's Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape school) has said in an article he wrote for SmallWarsJournal titled: "Waterboarding is Torture Period" - : "I'd like to digress from my usual analysis of insurgent strategy and tactics to speak out on an issue of grave importance to Small Wars Journal readers. We, as a nation, are having a crisis of honor" (cont.)
"We have recreated our enemy's methodologies in Guantanamo. It will hurt us for decades to come. Decades. Our people will all be subjected to these tactics, because we have authorized them for the world now. How it got to Guantanamo is a crime and somebody needs to figure out who did it, how they did it, who authorized them to do it, and shut it down because our servicemen will suffer for years" - Malcolm Nance
With regard to Liz Cheney's point that Robinson needs to reread the memos. Elizabeth needs to reread those memos herself. In one of them the case is made that anything short of "organ failure" is not torture. That's preposterous and yet that's the argument the Bush administration has made. What I don't understand is why more Americans aren't calling BS for claims such as these?
The problem is if we don't confront the BS that torture is ok. Then people will start to believe that it is. Or as Thomas Paine said, much more eloquently than I, in his "Common Sense":
"A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right."
"An army of principles can penetrate where an army of soldiers cannot."
IMHO the reason some might think Liz Cheney won her arguments has more to do with her dismissive tone, than her actual arguments. I've already demonstrated some of her factual errors (so I won't address them here again).
However, if you listen to her words she's just being dismissive of basic morality (as well as the intelligence community's overall opinion that torture doesn't produce good intelligence). - Personally, I fnd neither argument compelling.
After watching CheneyWatch's series of videos on the "Senate Torture hearings" I'm convinced the GOP is going down. The arguments against TORTURE are too good. And the arguments presented to try to support a policy of torture are too weak.
wishingonastar, please leave out topics that aren't relevant to the video at hand. if you wanna argue abortion and pro life rights, go to those videos. i hate it when people do this.
