@cmigneco the 35r evo never had a chance against FP Red. because 35r was on pump gas. E85 is 105 octane and it will make even a bad driver look good against pump gas. with E85 you can run higher compression, more aggressive timing and or higher boost. plus your boost should spool up faster do to the extra fuel burned. with the right setup i will bet on E85 against strait pump gas any day of the week. that 35r on E85 and a proper tune should make for a better race.
@switchgrassfuel Ahh I dunno how I didnt notice it was on e85, and my 35r wrx has a e85 map, its used to reduce detonation with more boost. I dont need a lesson on what it is lmao.
@switchgrassfuel not sure if he has NLTS, he shifted pretty quick in my book. To be honest man, evos most of em dont like high compression some run 10:1, but thats an e85 only diet. Most is like stock or 9:1. Boost wont spool faster, itll spool a bit later, when you run 30 psi there is a couple rpm delay from pump gas. But they spool way quicker then a 35r, even hta still laggy comparing. Thats why fp red evo pulled on him nice cars either way. Put the 35r on e85 interesting rematch.
Properly tuned 35r on full kill will destroy a red powered car...with good driving on both sides...i know because my 2 nemesis in town are a built 2.0 35r evo and and 2.3 3082r evo.
holy crap!!

Had a 3586 on my old Evo, very nice turbo when boost hits.
kaosracing386 2 years ago
no its called spool up i hit 27 psi on my red by 4100....those 3586 dont hit full boost till around 5000...good run both respectable cars
dastallion420951 2 years ago
@dastallion420951 you might want to check for boost leaks than. my old setup (stock block + red) spooled by 3800rpm full boost 33psi.
