ok i have a klt 160 atv 3 wheeler.it has a mikuni carburetor.there is one hole on the bottom, one gold and one silver inlets at the side.where do u put All the tubes?.the little hole at the bottom leaks, does it need a tube on that?or is it just a stuck float?what goes to the gold inlet?gas line?and the silver one,the tube from the differentials?crankcase?cylinder head?if u have a 3 wheeler like this or similar, please tell me and if you could show me a diagram for gas and oil lines.HELP
I just got mine to running after 2 yrs of it sitting me and my friends were riding it and adjusting the carb so it will idel and when we were done and were just sitting on it talk i happen to notice it leaking gas throught tube to drain the float and out the back of carb were the air fliter was wat could be wrong with it?
hey my quad dosent want to start, it just sounds like in wants to but it just cant get that last spark or something. I already change the spark plug but nothing and i took it to some guy to fix it and he said he was going to clean the carb and it worked afew times then like 5 times of use later it does the same thing sounds like it wants to start but dosent. If you could help me out i would appreciate it.
Thanks so much for this great video! I'm about to clean the carb on my '86 250sx and this has been a HUGE help. The problem with my ATC is that it's VERY hard to start cold, and no amount of choke helps. The only way I can get it started is with NO choke, and a good 30 seconds of cranking before it will start to catch. Any idea what could cause this problem starting? I have a new (properly gapped) spark plug and my airbox/filter is clean. Thanks!
I looked around for quite a while for a good, yet simple enough, explanation of how to clean a standard carb, but couldn't find something that would do. Your videos were a great help. Thanks!
Thanks for this, I knew nothing about this and my dad said we need to clean the carburetor because it has been sitting for a while, I got to watch this video a couple times though.
my brother has a yamaha beartracker and he has been complaining that it has a hard time going up hills and when you put it full throttle nothing happens and it feels like the throttle dont open the hole way what should i do? i cleaned the carb and changed the spark plug and adjusted the valves and everything nothing changed what should i do?
@countryboyG - Check the spark plug. If its covered in carbon, the mixture is too rich so you need to drop the jet pin. If its burnt white then theres not enough fuel getting in and you need to raise the jet pin.
well, if you got good spark, you got good gas in the carb.. Id make sure it was getting air, Id also might try some ether in the airbox. Maybe you have bad compression. Good luck.
hey man, my pitbike doesnt kick up, at first i thought it was because the cylinder head was threaded and i couldnt get the spark plug in there but i tapped it out and put a new plug in, checked it for a spark and it sparks. still doesnt kick up. so i checked the carb, carb is fine, any ideas why it isnt kicking up??
thanks 4 teaching me about my bike!

Very helpful. I think I need to clean my atv carb, it leaks after I shut it off. It runs good and strong though.
