Pat Summitt, nobody picked Stanford over Tennessee. Tennessee was a no.1 seed; Stanford was a no. 2 seed. Tennessee had Candace Parker, one of best players in the world. There's no question that Tennessee was clearly the favorite. I know Summitt loves to take the underdog role, but it's kind of hard when you clearly aren't the underdog by any means.

no KellyTaylor...Tara knows who to handle their defense, Stanford beat them earlier that season. Stanford just did not play a good game, and my guess is that they were just to happy getting to the final four for the 1st time in 11 years. also if you rewatch the whole game, Stanford was just chillin having girl talk before the game when they should have been warming up like Tenn. was. They just did not play a great game. But they did play a great game in December i was there watching.
