decorden, Bassey has NEVER been in the same vocal company as Patti Labelle or Whitney Houston...she IS over the top in a cringeworthy way like Celine Dion however....she is a Dame in Your country , Not ours ...never would happen !!
You can't compare a great classic singer like Shirley with Whitney Houston. Shirley is still performing and has still got it, watch Whitney's comeback performances - She has lost it!
Dame Shirley Bassey is an Outstanding performer, no one need be cruel. Much like her contemporaries, Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion; Ms. Bassey is a great "belter." Many new singers can't get their voice past the front row without a microphone.
They have already performed together in the 70's and 80's but i would love to see them today, maybe they could sing the songs from the other, what about Tom doing Big Spender or Shirley with Sex Bomb?

All you people in Wales have lost it !! Bassey is a over the top , second rate cabaret singer who belongs on a Cruise ship or at a crowded Karoake bar, so you don't have to hear her ..or better yet , at a Drag Queen show....amazingly awful, really!!

Her trmendous talent aside - off stage, Shirley is a pisser..so funny, kind and generous. If her voice doesn't give you the chills - go read a book !
