  • make a vid of it towing something

  • them will do just anything one of my bubby got a 08 browning edition ..lol we burried it up to the bed yesterday .it was stuck so bad it snap the cable on the winch

  • so these are the highest rated uvs ever.....i freakin love watching stuff like this...muddin uvs and stuff

  • They are belt driven, but the belt is sealed. I've never had any belt slippage.

  • do these use a belt and does it slip when it get wet

  • @mrstevek118 no they dont slip but i recently had to replace mine on the sportsman 800 cuz it got too hot

  • I'll take that bet. This is a 2006 model and it still has the original belt. No problems at all.

  • I bet he has already replaced his belt. Why the hell would you haul that much weight up a hill in high?

  • Great review. My wife and I enjoyed the camera assistant very much! LOL You guys definitely showed the utility aspect of the Ranger. We're looking for something to use with a large equestrian facility and this might fit the bill.

  • the girl filming kaitlin i believe her name is. She looks like one of the actors in zombieland :)

  • i put the ranger in low all wheel drive and i could drive it threw mud up to the top of the steering wheeh

  • holy crap when u put that dirt in it, i was like wow.. do you think that messes up the ranger in the future?

  • also a few comments for the driver. the unlocked 2WD is called "turf mode" really dont drive unlocked in mud trails etc. because you sit there w/ one tire spinning and the other doing something very weird. also when driving through mud etc. its a very good idea to put in LOW gear. very little gas will give you much more power/ torque than high which is for speed. from my experiences high gear on the trails=not a good turn out, because your making the ranger do more than what it has to.

  • thats true you wanna go i low threw the mud not high it messes up the shaft and other stuff it happend to me

  • Great video. I was quite impressed with the ease in which your Ranger went through the mud and up hills. I just hope the Rhino I just bought does as well. Keep the videos coming

  • you should have bought a ranger. we almost got a rhino. if we did it be broken by now. the rangers are just better made all around and user friendly. we hit a tree on the back right end. we fixed it all up with a new pannel in a day and a half. the rhinos just arent =( trade that rhino in and get a RANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i've never seen a polaris product yet that would last without fixing something every coulple of thousand miles... rhino's are industructable... i used to own a 04 and 06 sportsman... now a brute but if i get a side by it will be a teryx or rhino

  • @rumswigger haha u sure bout tthat

  • @codyadams500 just saying me and 5 of my friends all used to run polaris but had lots of clutch, wheel bearing, front end locker, and suspension problens, not to mention my buddys 700 sportsman that would burn off wires and alternators every time out. we run honda's and kawasaki now, seem to have real good durability and we rip the shit out of them lol

  • @rumswigger ya all the polaris toys that i own has never broke and i ride hard..the only problem is on my sled is that my throttle cable broke. and thats all...lol..so ya jus sayin..so its polaris 4 me..lol

  • @codyadams500 glad someone has good luck with them, keep on wheeling

  • @rumswigger cant beat them hondas and kaw ok youve owned them all which holds back best going down hillmy buddys got a ranger them thing will run away wt ya down hill you hv to gv it gas for it to start hes constantly doing it and its not safe at all

  • @MrWildass they claim the new polaris active hill decent is supposed to work... problem is the awd unlocks and it just drag's the back tires.... i actually just traded for a 2010 teryx last week and was playing in a few sand pit's... sees to hold back really good till about 5 kph or less then it goes into free coast... just touch the gas pedal and it kicks back in and works great at higher speeds. it also had an actuall 4wd that keeps the front wheels engaged to hold back on the rough stuff

  • @quadfester it wont

  • I high centered my '09 700 RangerCrew, Before I got a winch! BAD IDEA!!! LOL had an '08 700 ranger pull me out with a 3000lb warn

  • 8:00... Oooopsie!!!!

  • Yes that was funny!

  • @Tractors4u Can you get a ball hitch for it and pull trailers.

  • i got one stuck once the only reson was i was high cinerd but thoes these r best

  • NIice vid and its good to see your daughter getting into it all.

  • Very nice demonstration. I like the Ranger.

  • nice video

  • i have the 09 ranger hd an i love it , nice video also my five year name is ;kaitlyn

  • i have 1 it is the best

  • hey man. great video. this is the stuff i like. father and doughter.

great video. now im stuck on a tyrex and ranger...

  • my cousin has one of these its alright but it is junk now i had to pull it home with my outlander about 20 miles in a snow storm

  • wicked awesome! great video. polaris should send you a check. you sell it better then they did at a fair i went to last year.

  • i'm so getting that

  • No harm, it just didn't come across as a joke. Don't worry about it.

  • Ok thanks.

  • you should tiein up the shock up some if your going to haul big loads like that you can brake the sway bar if the shocks are to soft

  • oh my god thats is so so so so so

    cooooooooooooooooooooool

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

  • Thats like a mini Hummer Lol

  • Good video. We also have a 700XP. Mostly stock except for the added windshield, roof and doors. We have about 120 acres with a creek running through it and also a nasty swamp. It is amazing what these things can do. We will hopefully have a video here in the next couple of weeks to show you what we do.

  • great video and commentary!!

  • jump the creek!!!

  • dang that things practically a boat

  • damn right

  • wow itll go through anything

  • It sounds a lot like a lie

  • good video man it was really informative and i hopw the beast keeps pulling for you. and im just wondering does a 14 year old sponsered by polaris for snowmobile racing sound like a little bit of a lie???

  • Nice demo, I hope to get one of these beasts :)

  • You proved me right. You a just a kid and through your response you have shown your lack of maturity and ignorance. Look at your language and spelling skills. If you don't get serious you are going to be a major disaster that the rest of us will have to support through welfare!

  • personal the 700 is nice but i heard bad things about it like its torquie things about it like the shifting, power isnt as well as the 500. etc. i have a 500 ranger and i have no winch and all i have is tires on it and i still can do more things than the 700. ive gone through 2 ft+ of mud no problem. but the video waz ok. but ill will admit all the rangers are very impressive

  • The 700 does not have the power of the 500? How old are you? That sounds like a comment that a 12 year old would make. It doesn't make any sense at all. I will hook up and pull anything and more that 500 will pull, including your 500.

  • You should get Polaris to sponsor an English class for you!

  • fuck off kg polarisdragon

  • Hmmm, 2 years and no smoked belt yet.

  • Low is for pulling a load or climbing a hill. When you're mudding you need wheel speed and momentum, but whatever.

  • Nah golfer is right in high, you will smoke a belt in mud

  • also how bout u put the ranger in low not high... ur gonna get stuck in high.. low is for what ur doin not high... high is for speed and fun not muddin but what ever

  • nice demo but the new ranger 700 xp will go 50 but i was goin down the high way goin bout 57

  • the ranger 500 will go bout 50 thats about right for a 700 and lol u went on the highway lol i drive my 500 all around town.. and for everyone else if u hav a ranger and drive it on the road put a safety triangle on it.... itll save u a $60 ticket... the ranger is considered a slow moving vehicle so u need a triangle!!!

  • iF YOU HAVE A SAFETY triangle on a ranger in massachusetts is it legal?

  • nice vid i must say impressive machine I own a diesel mule 2510 00'. purchsed new im very happy with. although i wish you could promo the 6&6.diesel that would be great.

  • Nice vid Hoss, and great camera work! I've had my XP for two full years and I love it. Tks for the post. *trust me guys, these machines are the real deal*

    Bob, Northern Ontario.

  • how much wider is that than an atv? have you had to turn around on any trails because it was too tall or wide?

  • How much wider? I guess it depends on what ATV you are comparing it to. I would guess that it is about 1 foot wider than your average big bore ATV. I occasionally have to back up while trail blazing through my woods because of trees that I can't get in between.

  • great thanks

  • great thanks

  • I just got a 08 ranger last night. How deep of water can you go through with it.Also great job on the video and demo.

  • I'm not sure what the Polaris recommeded depth is. If you look at my other video you can see I had water up to the bottom of the headlights.

  • you can go throught water up half way on the hood. if you a go past the hood. it wont go to well.

  • hey how much firewood can that haul and how big is the bed you just made my decison for me thats a beautiful machine i cant wait to get mine excellent video

  • The bed's weight capacity is 1000lbs. The dimensions of the bed are 54" X 36.5" X 11.5" which is 13 cubic feet. You could put side boards on the bed and load it up with firewood. Be sure to look at the video on my Ranger in deep water.

  • what do you have to do to make the bed move up? is it a button or some kind of controller? please answer

  • When you install the power bed it comes with a rocker switch that installs on the dash. One way for raise, one way for lower.

  • Excellent footage and young helper/narrator! Thank you...

  • Thank you for doing/making this. If only someone would do this for the 6X6. That is the one that I'm interested in.

  • 6x6 r nice but if one of the hydroilics go out its not gonna be good. so if i were u i would stick to the 4x4. the 6x6 doesnt make a differents. it just has two more wheels to add weight and lenght

  • Thanks, good info.

  • no problem. i asked the same question about the 6x6 and he said the biggest problem with them is if a hyrolic goes out it suxs. but ur welcome

  • Excellent demo and commentary.

    Thanks
