As a lot of you guys and gals have said.. love is love.. personally I'm straight, but i really hope we can move past the ridiculous idea that being gay, and therefore gay marriage, is wrong. I did not choose to be straight, no body does, but somehow the "important" people cant seem to get there heads around the fact that it works both ways. It will happen eventually, and the sooner the better.
5 stars for a good video. I've been married for 35 years to my best friend, lover, and wife. It's been the greatest joy of my life and I want everyone to have that opportunity. I live in Canada, where gay marriage is perfectly legal, sand I assure you that gay marriage has not cost me a thing. Gay marriage has not diminished my marriage one bit. I hope many, many gay (and straight) people experience the stability and refuge and joy that marriage has brought to my life.
look at the facts, the majority of the world population still considers themselves hetero, and participate in heterosexual marriages. LGBTQ+ people have no need to turn people gay, we just want an accepting atmosphere for those of us who identify that way.
I thought it was Prop 9, but I don't live in Cali, so whatever. Anyway, I am a Christian and I believe people have a right to be gay. I even believe you can be a gay Christian, since the only requirement for salvation in Christianity is to believe in Christ and accept him as Lord and Savior. However, the Bible clearly states that homosexuality is immoral, so gays are living in a state of constant sin according to true Christian belief. Legal gay marriages are fine, but not spiritually valid.
But according to the Bible, everyone is living in sin... all the time. We aren't suppose to wear certain fabrics at the same time, people aren't supposed to masturbate, you aren't supposed to eat sea food. But people do these things on a daily basis. There is so much that people pick and choose about the bible. Why should one thing be followed and not another?
Wearing certain fabrics and eating seafood is not immoral in Christian belief. In Orthodox Judaism, those rules are still followed. God put them in place not because eating seafood was immoral, for example, but because at the time the seafood the Jews could have accessed could have made them sick. Masturbation is never mentioned explicitly, but it does lead to sexual fantasy. Homosexuality is clearly considered a sin in the Bible, however. Also polygamy was once acceptable, but is no longer.
Actually you're right, I do remember hearing that masturbation is considered wrong in Jewish tradition because that's what it says in the Old Testament. But the Old Testament's rules actually don't apply to Christians. The reason why Christians are Christians and not Jews is because we believe Jesus was the Messiah, while Jews do not, and thus are still waiting. Modern Jews probably feel the same way I do, that many of the OT rules were simply for survival. If you have a NT concern, let me know.
AstralxSymphony, hi A couple of things occur to me- 1- religios rules apply ONLY to followers of that religion. America is a nation, not a church. 2- I wish christians would be consistent; the NT lists homosexuality exactly on the same level as gossip, greed, deceit, gluttony.... I never see propositions to keep gossips from marrying. 3- the NT is very clear that relying on rules for righteousness is the only Unforgivable Sin. And, of course, the identifying mark of Disciples is... love.
Good video, can't vote no because I am Dutch but I support it anyway, we are still around after having opened marriage for same sex couples and nothing changed, really, but for the end of another discrimination.

Monogamy is a Christian religious fetish...

Why not polygyny? Why not polyandry?

ANSWER: Religious faggots will never admit that human evolution is only possible with heterosexual relationships...

But, they are still things you aren't supposed to do, because it's what the bible says, right?
So why aren't the rules being followed to a T rather than people picking and choosing what works for them.
And I happen to remember a passage about not wasting any seed which is a direct reference to masturbation and how one shouldn't do it.
