I have respect for Glenn Beck in the sense that I agree with what he says until he starts to elevate himself to the likes of Jesus, Ghandi, and Martin Luther King Jr.
It is then I lose all respect for him, because all those great men exhibited something Beck lost along the way, humility. Those men let others elevate them into the status of greatness.

But while I certainly agree that as a nation we should (and really must if we intend to survive and prosper) be tolerant of and respect diversity, why do we have to be a nation connected to any particular religion? If it's simply due to the fact that it's the major religion in the country, then we apparently live in an islamic world, since it is the most practiced religion on the planet.

It's manipulation 101, identify with a key ideal in the crowd and juice it up. This country is obviously not a christian nation, but because these people grew up in predominately christian areas, they never got the chance to see other groups and therefore didn't see diversity.
