  • Minimal pull on that t/o..he just lets his speed pickup and the lift generated literally lift him up!

  • no he had his flaps down. If you're looking at the front of the plane, the flaps would be facing downwards. When the plane gets going a certain speed, the air actually lifts it up. You actually don't even need the control stick to take off!

  • what are you talking about? You just reiterated exactly what I said..I mean, I'm not disagreeing with you, That's what I WAS saying. He did not even need to pull back, he just let the lift generated through flaps and airspeed alone allow him to lift up.

  • The way you made it sound was like he was going so fast the plane rocketed off the ground. I appologize for trying to correct you.

  • Maybe after two years your eyes have gotten a bit better to see that the elevators were moving (twitching) as the pilot gently pull back on stick to hit the AOA he wanted. That was not all natural lift, for that he have to be going around 180+ concerning his fuel weight. Takeoff here was around 150 155 MAX.

  • Hence I said 'MINIMAL PULL', of course he slightly applied stick force to achieve some sort of slight aoa. that aside, the jittering of the rear elevators is from the turbulent airflow coming off the main wings and such. why the hell would the pilot be manipulating the stick in such a jittering fashion? don't try to put someone in their place when you yourself need to be.

  • This wasn't a test flight actually, that guy flew all the way to Pensacola to pick up another jet since that one was having some kind of problems!

  • I saw something similar at an airshow a couple of years ago... when the two solos tried to perform their crossover they aborted it; #6 landed and about three minute later #7 took off and they finished the demo with #7.
