  • I love my v-brakes! Thanks to people buying Walmart disc bikes and all the Big New Thing avids etc, they are almost free!

  • i have hydralics and there the best thing u can get ,, norco empire 5 ftw!

  • verrrrry very close indeed ;)

  • Hey uhmm... I have a small question, At the moment i got V brakes, but what do i have to do to make my MTB disc compatible ?

  • @XenTheKiller usually nothing. The frame already has places to mount disc brakes on most mountain bikes, just remove and install the disc brakes.

  • I've also not noticed a great difference in power over v-brakes. But if I had to choose (which I do) I'd take hyrdros (which I have).

  • but the point of having hydro disks is the controllability and modulation not so much the stopping power

  • I haven't tried discs yes, but I gotta say, the v-brakes on my bike work amazingly well. The front will stop on a dime and throw you over the bars, so I wonder if I could have made this same save.

  • with some good diskbrakes you can do that with your pinky finger

  • Disk brakes work in the wet, that is probably the biggest difference.

  • disks are more stable and... u can control even more ur breacking

  • hahaha that is great

  • you know in star wars episode one there were the aliens that sat at the top of the canyon and shot at the pod racers, and every time they hit someone they made a laugh exactly like this guy lol

  • @johnstall5350 they were sand people. and yes. they made a noise that sounds quite similar. that scene cracks me up. they made their actual debut in episode 1. they made all that funny racket in that one too. :)

  • u should have kept going and pretend u didnt see him lol

  • fucking close call

  • are they hydraulic or machanical?

  • Hydraulic Avids

  • @indytriple Hydraulic's are the best :)

  • @buenowayneo94 i don't think a mech. could stop that quickly lol

  • hahaahahaha

  • U should have drove your front tire up his ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol priceless gotta favorite this

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • OMG That was soooo scary, you're very lucky. OMG!!!WTF111LMAOLRUS111

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ho ho ha ha ha ooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • hahahahh

  • holy... lol

  • lol

  • LMAO

  • yeah nice one charles on having disc brakes and nearly t-boning your friend....

  • im not totaly convinced by my hope m4 front, sometimes on a long hard downhill breaking section they fade away a fair bit. prob down to the pads rather than the caliper but most normal riding theyre pretty awsome. ive tried a juicy 7 on a mates and woah. total anchors!

  • from v-brakes to hydraulics was awsome. I was like a child on his first bike ride, i wanted to go fast so that i cud stop again. i still love stopping quickly now.

  • lol, whats all the "ahhhhhhhh" about like 5 seconds after he stopped. lol

  • Hydraulic discs do rock. Only the other day I was turning a blind road corner at speed and there was a car approaching at the worst possible time. The brakes pulled me to a stop real fast thankfully, a very close call with the car just like that video (inches away when stopped!).

    All good fun. ;-)

  • i remember having that rim-brake stuff- sucked

  • Damn

  • Thank God for disc brakes...I personally will never consider buying a bike with rim brakes again!

  • me too im geting one that will definitly have disc brakes lol
