@parosite I like everything about it other than the tuner backlash, frequency drift for SSB, and the fact the 4800's counter doesn't work on MW or SW1. On the 4900's the counter works in those two bands. I have no idea why they made them that way. Once I got use to the quirks I enjoy using this receiver. Now I'm not to hard to please anymore. Someone into perfection or is a bit picky probably wouldn't like this Panasonic for those reasons mentioned.
how do you like that panasonic ? i was thinking of picking one up ..whats a fair asking price for a used one ?

Can't part with my old Panasonic. I only have two receivers and this old girl is my best one.
