But there are many different styles within the 2011 era of clothing, and you can still dress with individuality within those boundaries. You can dress currently without losing some individuality, but also looking decent so that people will stop looking at skateboarders as druggie hippies.

@TheTAYLORBEAST Well, TBH, I don't think people will change their perception on skateboarding because we dress to fashion. In fact we could wear suits and it wouldn't change a thing. The fact is that we do destroy public property (whether intentionally, because that ledge just looks too tempting; or unintentionally) and we do hang around on the street looking like we're up to no good, and weed IS prevalent (not saying more prevalent than other circles, but we're high visibility).

@eltotoX I do agree with you.. but when you see someone outside your establishment and they are wearing 70s clothes; your opinion of them is changed at least slightly. However we do destroy property unintentionally, but this is occurring less and less because skateboarders are being forced to skate parks rather than street spots. But maybe, as skateboarding is becoming an increasingly popular sport, people will come to respect us as athletes much like pro football players are respected.
