If you are still in florence or if you will go back again, you should go to my aunt's cafe/ice cream shop that she owns, called Caffe delle Carrozze, near the Ponte Vecchio. There are directions on the website (the name of the restaurant and then .it) Never been, but the reviews say its great (and so does my aunt lol)

When I was in Italy I went to Verona and Venice,we got lost so we asked for directions. Everyone was so rude, they just looked away and ignored us! Ok you don't speak English but at least be polite. I did study Italian at the time but I didn't know much, I had a bad experience so every time someone mentions Italy I'm like "Italians, blahh". Not trying to be mean, but bad experience and we almost missed our ride back on the boat :(

They have awesome gluten free pasta in Florence! My mother in law is gluten intolerant and she went to Florence and just told them about being gluten intolerant ad they accommodated beautifully with gluten free pasta/bread/desert!

@xtinafreak30 Yes - Italy is one of the best countries in the world for Celiacs, weirdly! Libby - just tell them you have Celiac and they will totally understand and bring you all kinds of GF options. I buy Italian brand gluten-free pasta over here and it is seriously the best.

I don't know what you call that thing where you wash yourself after you pee but I use them and my family does and in Arabia everyone does also... it's very hygienic, when I think about people who just wipe themselves after the bathroom I feel fuzzy inside hahahah ;D it's so gross

haha there was a similar retro hairdryer in my hotel when I stayed in Venice! It took me 2 days to figure out that it was actually a hairdryer. I kept wondering why they had a vaccum cleaner attached to the wall in the bathroom.
