@Condestruction why would she do that?? there's no need for her to have to do that..I beleive that if she feels she cant sing a particular song, she wont sing it...and she does this song very well..
Waddy Watchel -- he's still rockin' the guitar. Stevie is a force of her own -- as is Mr. Dave Matthews. I have often wondered if they had an affair somewhere along the rock and roll road ......secretly... .....
I think this was a great tribute to a great song. Stevie Nicks is awesome and always will be and I'm sure the DMB felt good about her wanting to sing this song. People are saying it's too close to the original, but "Crash into Me" is it's own song, kinda in its own category. I think messing with it to much would lose the erotic and compelling effect of it!
I LOVE YOU STEVIEnicks ..I THINK YOU ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL -VERY TALENTED -CLASSY WOMEN AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY SOUL SISTER !!! YOU JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER AND BETTER !!!!!!!!!! AND I DO BELEIVEN THAT YOU WILL STILL BE ROCK ~N~ ROLLING WELL INTO YOUR 90"S AND BEYOND !!!!
Least you can understand what she's saying. I've always liked dave's, but, he is famous for his drunken growly indifferent BUT passionate voice, see what I'm getting at? She brought out the beautiful words, and I think she nailed it. Just MY opinion
Thats a little harsh..I see your point but an artist is supposed to inject their own style and flavor when they cover a song, not try to duplicate what the original artist already accomplished,ya know? Just sayin'....
I generally agree, but what's so "original" about this cover version..? Ray Lamontagne-Crazy, Jeff Buckley-Hallelujah, Katie Meluah-Lilac Wine, Jamie Cullum-Please dont stop the music , THOSE are "original" cover versions.. This sounds exactly like the original song, only it's sung by a nasal robotic voice and plastered in misplaced country chorus. Only thing I can accept about this is the fact that Stevie Nicks obviously salutes the great Dave Matthews by performing this song. Just sayin'..
If you don't like it , than by all means , give your opinion. BUT there is no need to slam her and be rude about it. I love this cover. I think its better than the original.
@KarmaCowBoY47 Chill out, KarmaCow! First of all, did Stevie Nicks tell you that she agreed with you? Second, did you not see my comment "give your opinion". I am a free American and can say whatever I want. But thank you for stating your opinion. && There is no need to be pointing fingers at me and say "how dare you!" and rambling on. Just state your opinion WITHOUT being rude!
@Illume2011 Lol nice talking about freedom of speech to a Dane ^^ I apologize if my comment was over the top, but "how dare you" is a very restraint reply to calling this song better than the original. And no im just guessing that even Stevie Nicks would agree; otherwise why do a cover so close to the original. In any case I just can't see how you can feel this is better.. Its not bad but definately not better. But again; I apologize if you feel I was being rude.
@KarmaCowBoY47 I got to agree with@illume2011.....I'm a huge fan of both Stevie Nicks and DMB. But you've got a strong point: why do a cover so closely resembling the original song. Of course Stevie has a great voice -and lots of soul to make her voice even more special- but let's be honest, it sounds like the DMB was playing and stevie just sings along
as much as I like stevie nicks, and I mean like whoa...this song is a good song, but its doesnt even look like shes trying. or for her style its just a filler song.
Though musically Stevie does not stray far from DMB's original. Once she tears into the song with her distinguished gritty voice - She leaves me "tied up and twisted". Great spin on this dirty little ditty.
please please please come to Ireland Stevie.......xxxxxxx

@Nickk305 DMB originally recorded it in 1996 on their album Crash & it's their biggest hit to date. Hope that answers your question.

No! She completely botched the song! The lyrics are supposed to be said softly like Dave does... her voice kills the song, in the bad way.
