They are talking about Senate bill S-190 introduced in January 2005 by Sen Dole,Sunnunu,Hagel and McCain that was specifically intended to regulate Fannie and Freddie. It was killed by Democrats in committee. McCain specifically wrote a letter to the President warning him of abuses at Fannie and Freddie. Currently Chuck Schumer is spending $10 million to target and defeat Elizabeth Dole in her Senate re-election bid in North Carolina. Schumer was one committee member who helped kill S-190
